I've taken the PNGs from this post (so i suppose they are already optimized), however i've skipped signing and zipalign steps, because i tought that were not necessary as i've already changed some images in that package without those steps.

Try following the guide I created, I'm pretty sure the .zip needs to be signed....Maybe you just got lucky with the signature, but changing that many files didn't work now...Zipalign is just a final touch to make the .apk as optimized as possible...

Also I'm not really sure those PNG's are optimized (I found out about the optimization only after I created this MOD and for some reason it didn't work on B0.8.4, so carefull :) )

Anyway if you follow the guide, you WILL get yourself a working version ;)

Hi Dr.Romca, i am using a stock rom which i cooked myself. I tried to push the framework-res.apk to /system/framework, successfully being pushed but the battery doesn't show. Did i do anything wrong?

Some versions worked even with unoptimized PNGs, so try optimizing those using some of those tools I described in my Howto ;)

Also it is not a particularly good idea to push a different framework-res.apk in oyur system, the recommended way is extract it, change the pngs you want and repack, sign and zipalign ;) see this howto ;)
