iam new here. I have actually a android screen in my mercedes c-class w205. I want to create this bootlogo (PNG 1929x720). i dont have any idea but it seems that i have to creat for this a splash.img? Could you explain me what i can do to make this?

If you want to change the resolution

Extract the file
change the resolution in desc.txt
1024 600 30
you can also change the Frames... instead of 30 you can make it faster (50) or slower (20)

rightclick on both part0 folder and desc.txt file add to archive
compression method "Store"
and save as -> .zip <- not .rar

thats it

Hello thank you the instructions. The .png files are still at 800x600 resolution. So I’m a bit afraid of testing it…since I read that different people got a boot loop error when using the wrong resolution…

A few boot animations to get you all started. They are full screen animations so make sure you download the correct one for your resolution.

How to install

Go into "Factory Settings" select the correct animation, you should see the dancing droids (the 2nd one in the drop down list)
Backup original "bootanimation_dancing_droids.zip" located in /system/mtc
Copy new "bootanination_dancing_droid.zip" located in /system/mtc
Change permissions of "bootanimation_dancing_droids.zip" to "644"
REBOOT
