Unfortunately, I tried the mod you posted and the one with the original settings even replacing the file samsungcamera.apk to run the hdr but on my stock firmware xxema2 the best shot feature, best face and multi-shot do not work!:crying:

So, I learned something today... when using "best photo" mode, it's a BAD idea to use the volume keys for taking pictures...

I ended up with a sound playback loop of the shutter sound. I ended up having to reboot my phone to "fix" it...

can we modify the video bitrate to more than 30mb/s ? note2 can do better. even at 30mb/s we can still see artifacts when u make fast turns with the camera or when recording from a car window (passing trees or something.)... I think 35 mb/s will be ok. how do u know those values that you modify in .smali files ? I have installed apktool and extracted the .smali's and i want to modifiy that smali file with the desired bitrate

I flash with recovery the note 2 camera to my s3, its looks good but some fc with hdr and i think is so much less quality than the original, so i decided to restore the original, BUT i miss backup the original files... Well... i found them all over internet, i put that two files samsungcamera.apk and samsungcamera.odex in system/app with mount RO, reboot, and the camera APP DOES NOT APPEAR IN ANY PLACE... i look on system/app folder and the files are there, i reboot and made dalvik and cache wipes and nothing, i dont have app camera, and i dont know how to solucionate... I flash the restore cmw that is in the main post but its the same, nothing appear... PLEASE HELP ME, and sorry for my bad english, im argentinian!

Take a nandroid backup... go in to system/app , check the permissions for the note 2 camera and associated files and then delete them, place the stock camera and associated files then set PERMISSIONS accordingto the note 2 camera permissions and then reboot to recovery , wipe cache , dalvik cache and reboot. Hope it works !
