[Mod] Camera NX V7.4 , Face retouch, Motion photo & ZSL HDR+ (7.1+)

This may be of some help, I have noticed that if I take a picture with hdr and immediately close the app (before the hdr processing is done) I get a grey picture.
I can see it in the little circle preview down right, but if I open it or try to see it in the gallery, it's all grey
I think the system force stop the hdr processing or something like that. Maybe the OP knows what's going on ?
Still beat camera ever and portrait hack is a real treat!

Same behavior here, wether you close it or it does crash (happens sometimes when you take several photos at once)

Yeah it happen. May our device does not have enough RAM to handle such huge task.

Here, stock unroot and march security patch, camera doesen't take greyed picture. Fast sequence and close app after I have have taken a photo.

Okay folks, I'm quite surprise that this thread is so dead.. this camera is the best thing which could come to our n5x.
SO as goodie.. well I think I solved the grey picture thing ^^
Yes I did, at least for me :]
I went in app info, notifications and switched off/on the permission for background processing.
I can now take pictures and immediately switch to the desktop and the hdr processing works in background without stopping.
I have no idea if this will work on other devices.. but this worked for me. Stock March + ElementalX kernel and magisk root.

Seems actually that it's another setting. ^^ I had to change a lot. So, it's in app info, advanced and then allow the camera to modify system. Works on a second totally stock n5x so it has to be it

Well I have noticed it doesn't work on kernels with Linux version 3.10.108.

Thanks for sharing, like I said, ZSL HDR+ needs at least 3G RAM to run. After I get my N5X 3G RAM installed and no more crashs with this mod.

Yeah it happen. May our device does not have enough RAM to handle such huge task.

I recommend to install the Brevent on Play store, to clean up useless background apps for more RAM.

2. Add Lens Blur mode.
3. EIS should be back to normal on Pixel 1, as EIS will be disabled with 4K quality with official version.
4. Active Google photos combination to view results again on enhanced version.

Only tested the not enhanced version. It doesn't remember the HDR setting. Wether the HDR off nor the HDR on setting is stored after closing the app. It always starts in HDR auto mode.

7.4 ZSL enhanced doesn't seem to work on Nexus 5X with the magisk module for 60 fps (ABC ROM, 8.1, EXKernel). Camera crashes and cannot be restarted unless the 7.4 version is uninstalled and the phone rebooted. I have not yet tried the non enhanced version or disabling the magisk module, though.

Didn't read the entire release article. Nexus 5X's 2 GB RAM is not enough.

Version 7.3.1 ZSL enhanced is still working fine.

Edit 2:
7.3.1 works as long as you don't take more than a couple HDR photos at once. Processing the photos eventually fills the RAM and causes the app to crash.

i can't install 7.4 on my nexus 5x, on stock 7.1.2 (with root/magisk/xposed if that matters)
get some parsing error when trying to launch/open apk

having said that, a couple of questions,
what does it mean hdr+ is fixed now? I'm on 7.1.2 and I've had the suspicion that hdr stopped working since this version or maybe earlier (when i take photos, it does go through 'hdr is processing' but pictures never look like they've had hdr applied to it in high contrasting light pictues)
I've brought this up before in this thread but no one replied to it
are these future updates good for vanilla 5xs anymore? it's great that it's still working, but if we need zsl to work with 3gbs of ram, would vanilla 5x users be better off sticking to the old version?

60 fps mod has stopped working, it crashes upon switching to video until stabilisation is disabled, but even then it isn't recording in 60fps. Previous one worked. Also it is a bit more laggy and for some reason lens blur has returned.
