No motion photos, the motion photos icon turns red and never go back to normal and there is no micro video in the image, in back camera, every thing fine, but front camera have the problem. Using: Nexus 6p, Please Help....

On my Original Pixel there is no motion photos at all no matter which camera I'm using.

@Charles_l and guys just want to ask you something before to kill me with stones!

I know this is dedicated Nexus subforum and i already use the Gcam ports floating the XDA thanks to Charles of course!

But one question keep floating in my head any chance to make this port working on non nexus devices? such as HTC 10 Nougat or Oreo?

What i have to edit... now you gotta wonder why im asking such a question when the Forum is full with ports for other devices.

Well because HTC 10 have exact the same camera Sensor like Nexus 6P and this is the SONY IMX 377.

In other words the Original Google Camera profile of the Nexus 6P and the HDR+ calculating have to be optimized for exact that camera Lense SONY IMX 377 like color corection, quality and so on.

And in Theory if i run this Google Camera on HTC 10 i will get best results like Image quality, colors and processing.

Using the Nexus 6P model and Nexus 6P HDR+ Processing.

Any Idea?

You should try arnova Google camera, he make the port of Google camera for HTC, Moto as well as Xiaomi. Go and have a try...

No motion photos on my Original Pixel XL (neither back nor front).

Ok looks like installed enhanced version and got the motion photos

As someone else is mentioned it before, motion photos doesn't work with front camera.

For those of you using NX primarily for the portrait mode shots, this app is a godsend. It runs in the background or can be used manually to bulk move all the burst folders made by the portrait mode to your camera folder. The paid version is only a buck and will delete the old folders when it moves. I stopped using NX for portrait mode because of the mess it made of my storage, but this app makes it work as you'd expect.

Why should you worry how messy is inside gallery folder? It will be cleared out the moment you hit Free up space in Google photos.

I didn't set anything up, after reboot it just works, moving all the files behind the scenes.

I can see portrait mod option but, rear cam just takes burst image and front can will not take anything when in portrait mod.
Was working well on stock though
What might be causing this ?

Everything works perfectly on mine; LOS 15.1.
Might be an issue with your GApps. Try OpenGApps 8.1

Did I mention about front cam ? Really u think I'll take pics of objects with front cam:silly:
I've been using portrait mod when I was on stock and it worked flawlessly (of course not with objects) because we don't have a pixel.
But now something else is messed up and I can't find what it is .
