EDIT::: Mate I just tried it... Works well but my phone isnt LTE so it cannot have 4G... Is it possible for u to remove the 4G... 2G/3G is good enough... By the way no rush... Whenever u have time....

I know that S3 (i9300) doesn't support 4G.
4G = H+ as in OP ..the 4G icon is there just for visual effect

hey man could you please do one for me too?tried the zip in the op but the H isn't changed at all. I am away from a pc so i couldn't check well.
it's from phoenix rom 9.4 with s5 theme ui

H is left as stock icon...untouched.
it can be made a little bolder that's all what can be done for it.

Replace your systemUI in system/priv-app and set permissions as the original one.

Added G, H and replaced 4G with a modded H+ again.

It's easy..you can do it yourself...no need to be a genius to change an icon
Remane your systemUI.apk to systemUI.zip
Then go to res/drawable-xxhdpi
Look for icon data_connected_Lte.png and replace it with the 4G one...it's already present in the same folder, just rename it.
After that rename back SystemUI.zip to SystemUI.apk put it in system/priv-app, set permissions and reboot.

Easy, no?

Yes, you can swap the icons,
But must be in .png format and same resolution or close to the original one to fit in the status bar.

Hi nice work I just flashed and it works on phoneix rom but the H doesn't go to 3g. E goes to 2g and H+ goes to 4G but the H just stays as H, shouldn't it go 3g?

Hi..
No..3G icon is for 3G and H is for HSDPA...not the same story.
So that's why the H is still there
You can swap the H icon with 3G if you want it that way.
