[MOD][Customized HOLO Launcher][Two Updates 15/07/2012]

hey GuYs,
I have modded the original holo launcher and have changed it because some features were missing.
The features that are added in this customized version are:-
1.Added Original Google Play Store Icon instead of the one that came with the original holo launcher(its the play store icon in the top right corner)

Update(15/6/12):-
Based on Holo launcher V1.0.3.
changelog:-
1.scrolling speed for app drawer,desktop and dock.
2.Horizontal and vertical Paginated App Drawer.
3.Added Music ICS icon.

Update(19/6/2012):-
Based on latest release v1.0.4
Changelog:-
1.Added App Drawer Open/Close Transition Effects like Zoom,Windmill and Fade.
2.Added Option to Lock/Unlock Desktop.
Modded Updated Version Contains:-
Samsung galaxy SIII App drawer Icon(Credits to CoolCatGetHome for the App Drawer Icon.
Changed some Icons In launcher Actions when long press on homescreen.
Added Samsung Galaxy SIII Wallpapers.

Update(22/06/2012):-
Based on the latest release v1.0.5
Changelog:-
1)Improve preview animation.
2)Option to customize menu.
3)Show menu by gestures or launcher actions.
4)Change swipe up gesture's default value to show menu.
5)Change swipe down gesture's default value to show notifications.
6)Fixed a dock icon bug.
7)Updated translations.

Update(30/06/2012):-
Based on the latest release v1.0.6
Changelog:-
1)Option to force portrait or landscape
2)Option to change drawer tab icon: None, Play store, Menu, Desktop
3)Fixed a customize menu bug
4)Fixed a recent app bug
5)Fixed FCs on Jelly Bean
6)Updated some images from Jelly Bean
7)Updated translations

Update(07/07/2012):-
Based on the latest Holo Launcher release V1.1.0
Changelog:-
1.Option to remove drawer tabs, support full screen drawer
now
2.Option to show home button in drawer
3.Option to use old ICS search widget


There is also a plus version on google play but it is paid app so don't ask me for the plus version as warez is not allowed on xda.




Update(15/7/2012):-
Released two Variants based on release v1.1.0.
One variant is with SIII app drawer Icon and the other variant is with the ICS Round App Drawer Icon.



Another Update(15/7/2012):-
Released The Holo launcher mod based on v1.1.1.
it has two variants also,one with ICS app drawer icon and other with SIII app drawer Icon.
All thanks to SnowPluralism for the v1.1.1 mod variants.

This Modded launcher needs root to use.
download the apk from attachments and then open root explorer and then go to /system/app and copy paste the apk file there and after pasting it set the permissions to rw-- r-- r-- and reboot.
after reboot enjoy the launcher.

1.'ALL' TAB changed to 'APPS' TAB like in the stock ICS Launcher and other ICS Launchers.
2.Added Original Google Play Store Icon instead of the one that came with the original holo launcher(its the play store icon in the top right corner)

Roboto ICS font.

Good post!

But what font are you using? xD

I am using the roboto ICS font.
its a flipfont font.
I will attach it here.
download the attachment and install like normal apk.
Then go to settings->Display->Font Style and then select roboto font and then reboot phone and Viola! U have the ICS official Font on ur Phone.

That's a good question.
I had asked the Holo launcher's Developer Mobint about the Widgets under the Widgets tab but he said that android did not have Widgets API before 3.0 honeycomb so that's why he said that the Widgets adding is an impossible task.
If You want you can try the Phoenix launcher which has a Widgets tab but that launcher also requires root.

That's really strange.
I don't think it should happen.
it did not happen with anyone else who used this launcher.
do one thing.
delete the launcher from /system/app and then reboot and after reboot again put the launcher in /system/app and set permission to rw-- r- r- .
after that reboot once again and then select the Holo launcher and then check if the problem has gone.

Use ApkManager Not ApkTool.

here is the tutorial for the Modding -----> Apk Manager Tutorial

Read the tutorial carefully and then you will be able to mod the Holo launcher.
