the files and libs are based on gingerbread, so it may not run on 4.0 properly. i've not test it on ics yet and i think we may have to wait for sony to release a ics since the android sdks are different
may be a silly question but is there any risk of battery drain or wake locks?

XILA2 is Gingerbread... The only thing i have to do is flash the .zip file from recovery, right?

yes, all u have to do is to use cwm to install it. btw, do u know how to get the error log? it helps to figure out what's wrong

first, i don think it will drain your battery coz it's a ondemand process. it will only fired when called. but of coz, every addition process and click consumes battery. it depends on how often you use it
second, the previous one didnt call anything or run any application actually. so it should not drain ur battery also

thx, but it didnt show anything related to those FCs. i suggest u to get the log file asap after the FC

another side effect of US sopa....
last nite (HKT), xda was black out for the sopa thing in US. i wanted to participate in the contest but i'm not a us citizen. due to the black out, i surfed xda's portal instead. i saw a post talking about bravia mod thing there and so i read on.
OMG.... (i cant think of any other synonyms atm, sorry for that coz i'm not a native english speaker). there r some related posts talking about the bravia mod in other android devices, which has left me astonished coz from what i observed at the files and codes so far, i doubt if they work (correct me if i'm wrong, not insulting anyone)
then i started to think, it must be a joke....
my threads for a working one (which was not uploaded yet at that time) were deleted due to "the Bravia Engine requires proprietary Sony Ericsson code and will not work on anything but a SE device. This is the 2nd such thread we have closed or deleted, the 1st being after the developer himself admitted it was nonsense". on the other hand, however, some others suspicious releases were published in an article on the portal site. can u believe that?
of coz, i know that they r not the same ppl, and i understand ppls behave differently and have different minds. i am not trying to blame anyone, just wanna say what i feel

thx, and i did actualy. i pm to four moderators asking for a reason but i didnt get any reply from the one who deleted my threads until i sent him more pms a few days after, but the replies were unacceptable and simply nonsense. finally the case was escalated and that senior one's reply was much more sensible so i remained here and continued with this mod

i've received some complains and questions about my bravia engine demo, regarding the ability of my mod in some roms. they either said it's not working or they couldnt see any difference.
after some investigations, i confirmed that some of the roms "claiming" bravia engine included ARE NOT REAL or simply NON-EXIST, while some of them are included with the previous failed version that was not modded by me and i can do nothing
atm, there r only 3 roms have included my bravia engine mod and informed me about the inclusion of my mod in their roms with my name mentioned. for those with the FAKE ones, u will not find my name in their posts.
u may also find my mod included in some roms but without mentioning or crediting to me. in this case, however, i cannot tell if they work or not since i cant check them one by one
up to now, i have received acknowledgements or being credited from the rom makers listed below for the inclusion of my mod:

- CriskeloRom by criskelo
- VK by nguyenxuanhoa

but for some reasons, like it's not yet optimized and so forth, so i put the word DEMO to tell ppl that it's not a finalized version
