I don't know why I even care LOL

Yeah you or someone would need to modify the MC3 SecSettings to be able to clear it. If nobody does it before tonight I will throw it together.

If you are like me you are just anal and need it to say normal :)

All -

Anyone is more than welcome to use this mod freely without my permission, I am just glad to share back with a community that I learned a lot from.

I have not download MC3 as yet so unable to compare smalis to make any updates for this mod. :(

That would be awesome. I think my problem is the fact that I modified my phone so quick I don't think I ever saw it when it said Normal hahaha

Here is a little mod to make your Device status show "Normal" instead of "Modified" under Setting->About device->Status->Device status

I found a post digiblur made (link), that shows you how to do this for the Note 2 so I deviced to try it on the S3. His mod require 3 edits but in the Sprint S3 (MB1) only required 1 edit. After hours and hours of testing trial and error, here it goes

Decompile SecSettings.apk and goto
Glad to see I inspired another mod, but I would make the other changes as I have seen the service get stuck and it will say Scanning instead, that's the reason for the 3 changes.

I also see it is quite funny that people do not read the original mod first post ;) Hmm...

Guess what.. i flashed the zip and it worked fine on WSRom. I flashed Goodness Rom and then flashed this zip again but couldnt open system settings. Says "apk not installed". Weird.

This sounds like a perfect example of why it is important to back up before making a big change like this.

I edited the apk as per the instructions, but after rebooting my status gets changed to 'Flight Mode'

I'm running stock, rooted XXEMC2 on International S3.

Sounds like the hex value is off. Im not sure what base he used in his instructions, but here is what you can do from your end. Decompile your settings again, fallow his inductions only before you add the 7f090129 code to your smali open up your public.xml located in the values folder. Search for the "normal" string. And use that value in stead. I hope that made since.....
