Just use an app from the Play Store called 'Adjbrightness'. No flashing necessary, just root and you have one click control to turn lights off completely.Would appreciate a script to turn of backlit completely

I just use an app called dock clock. Yes, the screen stays on all night. No, I don't have a dock. I just lay it flat on my nightstand. Works great since HTC got rid of this clock option in Sense 4.0.Care to share your setup of bedside clock? Does the screen glow all night?
Do you have a dock?

ProbablyWould this also work on the alpha CM9 ROM?
Have to have root.i think I already know the answer to my question, but I will ask anyway.
Do I need to be rooted for this?
Is there a way for unrooted 1.85 to get this awesome mod? Somebody please say YES.
That sucks. One of the buttons is not as bright as the other 2. In fact it is not evenly lit up. It seems like the LED under the screen is either partialy blocked or mis-aligned. I don't want to exchange it as I may get other issues with the new phone.Have to have root.

I hope the root comes out quick enough for all of us stranded on 1.85 island.

What rom are you on? Your kernel may not have init.d support.Does not work. When I manually change it it works, but after restart it defaults back. Any advice.
I would imagine so but with three little LED's, I doubt it'd be a noticeable difference.I wonder if this will save some battery life dimming them or turning them off completely?
