I asked this a while back but I don't think it was answered. Does this help with battery life turning them off?

Probably not by any significant amount unless you use the phone in low light conditions a lot.I asked this a while back but I don't think it was answered. Does this help with battery life turning them off?

did this on cm9 because mod wasn't sticking for some reason.. don't have to flash.. pretty easy too.. just switched the 3 to 1you can also change /sys/class/leds/button-backlight/currents it does the same thing. Just some fyi....
I flashed mid brightness on my One XL running CleanROM 4.0 and now the sense lock screen is locked up--i see my wallpaper and status bar only (but no lock ring, nor home screen) and was able to pull down the notifications then tap settings to get around the lock. When I tap the settings gear icon the message:
Unfortunately, Wallpaper Lock screnn has stopped.
is displayed. I tap ok and the same message is displayed again. I can get to home and use my phone between recurrences of the error message. I can reboot to recovery.
How can I completely undo the changes made by the mid brightness script (sans nandroid)? Flash the stock brightness file?
Check the OP for what you're looking for. There's a stock version to restore it to default and one to turn the buttons off..How can I turn off the capacotive BUTTONS? (Not LEDs) because I have on screen buttons in AOKP which I prefer

That would most likely require some hard coding to actually make that happen these are just tweeks to the existing codeIs there the ability to flash the three buttons when we have emails/ messages. I would like in addition, better then the little red led.

I think the op of the one question was asking if he could actually disable the buttons so they would not respond to touch and if that is the case then the answer would no way that I'm aware ofCheck the OP for what you're looking for. anyone? im using esfile explorer to change the currents file. also running clean rom 4.0, if that makes a difference. thanksI went ahead and edited the currents file to 1 to dim but it's not sticking after a restart. Any ideas?
Not sure why its not sticking but why don't you just use the flash zip the op instead I'm 99% sure Scott's roms have int.d support.anyone? im using esfile explorer to change the currents file. also running clean rom 4.0, if that makes a difference. thanks
yes, i believe they do. the int.d folder is on my phone with files in it. i can flash the zip but id rather just find a way to make this setting stick (that way if i wanted to up the brightness for any reason i can just go back into the file and change it again). as of now i just switch it back to 1 when i restart/turn my phone on, which isnt a problem but id prefer it to stick. i know, im picky, shoot me. lol :laugh:Not sure why its not sticking but why don't you just use the flash zip the op instead I'm 99% sure Scott's roms have int.d support.

Try it. It should. Just use a root explorer, and create a folder named init.d under system/etc, then flash the mod. Should work fine.might sound a daft question bull will this work on tegra 3 version ?
Out of curiosity, did you end up trying this on the international One X? If so, did it work? I'm curious because if it worked then the app that I wrote to do the same thing will work on the tegra 3 one X too.might sound a daft question bull will this work on tegra 3 version ?
