Thanks for this nifty mod

I modified your instructions to suit my needs and this is what I did

Using Rom Toolbox, I browsed to system/csc and renamed feature.xml to feature.xml.bak (my backup!)
then copied Feature.xml from system/csc/SPR/system/csc/feature.xml to system/csc then edited the line you mentioned
Rebooted and now I am able to turn the sound for the camera off...

Great find, wonder what else can be tweaked from the feature.xml file... haha, I don't know, I ain't gonna try..yet!

I'm not able to get out of read only mode to actually try this method.

Still failing after forgetting, I also reinstalled both ES and SU and no good. Any other free root explorers I can test? Or can anyone else using es verify if it's working for them?
Root browser was the only one that worked for me.

Hey guys,

I have updated the others.xml file, rebooted the phone and nothing changed...
In my case, there was a mistake in one line in the file:
<CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMessage>true<CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMessage>

Do you notice that there is no slash after >true< ?

I've changed it to:
<CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMessage>true</CscFeature_Message_EnableScheduledMessage>

and everything works as expected after reboot.

So hint from me: chech the file via Notepad++ or another editor that highlights errors.

Good find. Who is your carrier?
