ATT Atrix running .57 rooted, then flashed the .87 radio sbf. At the office where there is always a poor signal in the concrete bldg. 1600 down 1300 up! Yippee!!!!! Thanks very much!!!!!

Interesting. I've flashed both files several times over my rooted ATT Atrix with a ton of crap installed, and all settings stayed in tact. Wonder if it has to do with the checksum problem you were having. Trying to flash from Linux? Maybe RSD Lite is a requirement!?
Someone please quote this reply if this radio is flashable over gingerblur. I'm hoping we don't have to flash stock first.

I really want to try this but my better judgement is telling me to hold off until we know more lol. Do we know how safe this is yet? Will we still be able to get OTAs without reflashing back to stock? Awesome work dew.man and NFHimself
I'd like to know this as well. In the other radio thread, it appears people are flashing this without their phone in RSD Mode. OP?
I removed SIM and SDCard, put my phone into RSD Mode (Power + vol up) and flashed via RSD Lite.
Haven't tried!
I first shut down my phone, booted in RSD mode, and then flashed with RSD Lite. This process appears to be working well for people.

Works. Avg DL around 3.6 (3.2-4.1) Upload 1.3 (Either 300 or 1.3-1.5) with a ping of around 150ms
power on plus up volume-flashed in rsd mode with file in root folder of my C drive. I didn't bother to remove the simm or sd card. Everything seems ok.

That is definitely odd. This SBF file is only 20mb and the full 1.26 file is 553mb when zipped and even larger when unzipped..I wonder how it sent you back to 1.26 without all of that extra data.
i did as our Canadian friends suggested before, usb deb mode on, connect to pc, usb set as moto portal, open rsd, click .... for radio file, your atrix should be listed as mb860 and display connected. click start and wait...it will go in rsd mode and reboot. no data wipe.
Worked like a charm. But I wonder if the official update has software optimizations for the radio. Phone's running a bit hotter now..
