Another user just brought this to my attention as well. To fix it flash any of the Aroma Bootanimations, then extract the bootanimation from the new zip and push to system/media and set permissions to 644 rw-r--r--, reboot and enjoy.

v3 is here with extras!!!!

v3 is ready and now includes

*5 TWRP theme option
*45 Boot Splash logo will working "preview"option during install

I didn't really do anything to the boot/shutdowns except added the catching fire animation, but since I added the splash screen mod to my ROM installer, I figured since it's part boot up might as well update this project. TWRP stuff is bonus

am able to enter recovery and download mode using vol keys + power buttons.

during aroma it does say some file permissions not set properly.

Love the TWRP and boot splash screens, thanks a lot for that.
Still, ticking the preview box and proceeding freezes my phone everytime, don't know what might cause that.
Since flashing a new option from time to time takes just a minute, i can live with that, though.

Now for the fix. we have 2 options

option 1)

1) dirty flash your rom
2) pull the 'bootanimation.zip" from the zip I posted located in the system/media folder
3) use a file manger with root access and place the "Bootanimation.zip" in the system/media folder on your phone (if your rom supports "zips" you will be replacing the current zip)
4) set permissions to 644 rw-r--r--
5) reboot


option 2)

1) pull the "bootanimation" file from your rom zip "system/bin" folder and save to a location you can find easily. it's a small file about 30-40 kb
2) download and use this Aroma Recovery File Manager to replace the bin file from my zip you flashed. set permissions to 755 rwxr-xr-x (see screenshot)
3) pull the bootanimation.zip from the zip I posted located in the system/media folder
4) use a file manger with root access and place the zip in the system/media folder on your phone (if your rom supports "zips" you will be replacing the current zip)
5) set permissions to 644 rw-r--r--
6) reboot

You are really very kind thank you very much for taking the time to explain the process. works perfect with the manual process, I replaced files with "root explorer" and restart successfully, thank you.

I have one doubt as I can get my rom accept bootanimation with "zip" format?

I replaced the bootanimation you sent me the other in 1080p and not start.
Can the files in the "bin" folder be useful for other boot animation with "zip" format or are just for you sent me?

because I want my rom recognize other bootanimation
