Now that this thread has been bumped...

Any way to have a *shortened* backlight (5 sec?) that plays well with BLN?

The extended backlight time on DJ05 is irritating.

Just a FYI, I do have a solution for keeping the lights on while the screen is on. It is a little utility app called "KeepTheLightsOn".

That said, good job on the decompile/recompile. I started on the same task, for various other reasons. I'd love more details on the changes if OP is willing to share.

I second this. One of the things that attracted me to the Fascinate originally was the shortness of the backlight on the soft keys. To hear it was a bug and has now been fixed without options is annoying.
