[MOD][FONT][JUL 4]ANDROID-L ::: Rounded/Soft Roboto Light * World's First *

[v-b-n]

This is a custom edited and rounded version of the new "Roboto Light" from ANDROID-L


All individual Glyphs (characters) have been hand edited to add rounded edges instead of the sharp ones on the default.

Lot of my effort has gone into making this. The single inspiration being that Google decided to remove "Font Antialiasing" from Android (due to MS/Apple patents I believe).

Even on higher res screens with 720p and 1080p, fonts almost always look better only when antialiased or "soft" feel to them.

I am done with Alphabets, Numbers & Symbols. Still working on Cyrillic and others that come in the default font.

Light font made bolder by 18% for better readability and used as base for all other variants (Italic/Bold/BoldItalic)
Corners rounded with radius of 20 (Subtle difference but huge impact)
(Tested on HTC One M8)

Light font made bolder by 23% for better readability and used as base for all other variants (Italic/Bold/BoldItalic)
Corners rounded with radius of 20 (Subtle difference but huge impact)
Font coding changed to CFF instead of TTF for better antialiasing/hinting

Regular font was edited with ALL sharp corners rounded off with radius of 60 and corrected for Visual Display.

just one question before I flash this font, I am using M7 but you said it works, so I wonder does it show this font in options like other fonts or not? there is a problem in M7 (phone lags with some fonts)

It replaces the default Helvetica font, if I'm understanding what you are asking...

It hard replaces fonts that you select as 'Default' in the menu
