Hmm... I haven't tried Japanese input, but I can assure you that adding Japanese fonts does work (so that you can at least read Japanese web pages). As long as you know the correct set of packages to install, Japanese input should work, though.Sogarth, is it possible to add additional IMEs via Apt-get/synaptic now with your mod? I live in Japan, so that along with adding Japanese text support would really help me out. Any way that could work?
Sorry for the continued delays. Things in my life have been a bit hectic for the past couple of weeks... but I am working on it, I promise! Although, one thing I can definitely say is that working with the Android SDK can be a complete pita....Hi,Sogarth, thank you for your hard working, but when will you release new version to support 1.83?or apk?thx again
Hmm... I'll need to find out what the exact problem is, then. I'm currently on 4.1.57, since I want to make sure that what I write will work across the various versions that people have (especially since it seems that the variance is growing with time). I'll upgrade to 4.1.83 after that, to make sure that everything works.I found coreutils is the killer for 1.83 version. When i install coreutils, the webtop dead..i am still trying..
Oh man! It´s a great, great news! You didn´t give up!!!!!One thing I can say, though: I suspect that I'll surprise people with the approach I'm taking.![]()
Thx and wait for your next version.good jobHmm... I haven't tried Japanese input, but I can assure you that adding Japanese fonts does work (so that you can at least read Japanese web pages). As long as you know the correct set of packages to install, Japanese input should work, though.
