I ended up giving this a try but the launcher was crashing too often so I had to delete it. It seems like if it is working, you could probably use gamepad mapping to emulate an OUYA controller.

Edited this one rather than making a new post since it wasn't anything important.

So I have a question. Will flashing this make controls just like OUYA's? For example, will Modern Combat 4 be playable like on an OUYA?

This really doesn't work. :/ I moved them all to system/app and changed the permissions rw-r--r-- then rebooted. OUYA launcher stops responding... This was the only thing that was keeping me from selling my shield, honestly. Oh well...

I believe you need to be on 4.3, flash with shield ram bone stock, them do this, won't work on 4.4 because of new securities features and ouya runs 4.3

No. It will let you use the OUYA apps, but it doesn't modify the key bindings or any of the internal framework.

It only works with 4.3 if you want to run this mod you will need to downgrade to 4.3
Agreed. A full stock reset is overkill.

Hey all, just to let you know that i forget to delete the ouya files on my shield and when i received the new OTA yesterday obviously i loss root, but sorprise a lor of errors just becase a forget to delete all the ouya files from syste/app so my recommendation to all of you that are going to install the new OTA check and double check that you dont have installed the ouya mod or you will need to do a lot of stuffs to get your shield stable again,if you are having the problem that im posting let me know i can help you to get your shiled stable again :fingers-crossed:

adb shell
mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblk3 /system
rm /system/app/INSERT_OUYA_FILENAME.apk
Repeat last command for all files
reboot
