Iv seen alot of people want a JB 4.2.2 style Status Bar so I have tried to create one the best I can for other people to theme it and develop it further
Its not perfect but I dont have the time to fully develop it so iv taken it as far as in everything works and most of the layout is done

I have used the Smali and layouts provided by SpaceCaker and resized and changed the layout to fit Galaxy Y

Take Note Of The Following
Anyone is free to use and develop this with the following conditions
you do not mirror the download link or add any ads to my download link on blog sites

Install Instructions
Go into CWM
Make A Nandroid Backup In Case Your Status Bar Goes Walkies For Some Strange Reason
Mount System
Install Zip From SD
Select Zip
Restart

A certain person called sameer ali has been stealing my work and passing it off as his own - It has now been delt with

If you are on Hyperion
Use the Hyperion 8 version
Or
Unzip the zip for GT-S5360 or if on duos the duos version
go to system/framework
rename lidroid-res.apk to hyperion-res.apk
rezip everything back up
flash the zip with the renamed file

Do Not Post Things Like
Will this work on xyz rom - It should work on any stock based custom rom that is deodex (hyperion see above)
Will this work on stock rom - only if you are deodex and have lidriod parts apk already or install the lidroid parts from the lidriod thread

To make it clear - this is NOT for CM7/AOSP as its NOT stock based!

How To Use
Pull the left side down of the status bar for notifications
Pull the right side down of the status bar for sliders
Use the evo app by b16h22 to change the status bar colour and transparency



Install Instructions
Go into CWM

Now look at how to mod framework if you get black on black text with some statusbar events


If on stock rom it must be deodex and install the quick panel settings apk from the lidroid thread

Swipe to remove will only work on roms with frameworks that support it - if yours doesnt the status bar will force close if you attempt to swipe to remove

If you are on Hyperion
Unzip the zip
go to system/framework

How To Mod Your Framework If You Get Black On Black Text With Some Events

1. Decompile framwork-res.apk with apktool
2. Goto res/vaules
3. Open styles.xml with notepad++
4. Search for @style/TextAppearance.StatusBar
5. Just below it change the value of <item name="textColor"> to #ffffffff
6. Search for @style/TextAppearance.StatusBar.EventContent
7 Just below it change the value of <item name="textColor"> to #ffffffff
8. Recompile and put in a flashable zip and flash with system mounted



Do Not Post Things Like

have tried on galaxy duos with xduosv3 rom and work so far,but one issue,after enabling the theme i cant connect my duos via usb to my pc because in statusbar shows a buuton called settings and when i press to connect my sd the complete system ui crashs and doesnt run untill reboot,otherwise all is great so far.:good:

Worked fine when I tested it on 5360 but I'll double check later
maybe the USB smali file is different between the two phones

if you could upload the original SystemUI.apk from your rom zip I can make a test build for you with different smali

iv tested connecting usb to pc with my 5360 and it works as in screenshot - Although I cant take a screen shot with usb connected as the sd card is unavailable by clicking on the connect usb in notification area it brings up the screen to connect to usb

so it must either be a duos problem or the rom your using in combination with my statusbar

what I will do probably in the next few hours is change some smali and upload a test build to see if you can connect to your pc via usb mass storage with the changed smali

There was a difference in the USB smali files - I'll add it to the op later as an alternative for duos if anyone else needs it

will replace everything except battery icon with what you see in screen shot

if you want to keep your own icons
unzip my UI
unzip your UI

copy your status bar icons like wifi data signal from res/drawable-ldpi to mine

he also changes the update script so it shows his name when you flash the zip

I have reported his site to the anti piracy organisations and now all his links to my work now dont work and will be monitered for any future breaches
Hopefully once the investigation has been compleated his site will be shut down
