{MOD}GLANCE VIEW lOCKSCREEN UPDATED 16/09/2013 4 New Design & Wallpaper

Hello My friends,

Back with one more simple "MOD" and this time its "Glance View" which works when u hover ur hand on top of screen

Just playing along with this since yesterday and i see lot of work which can be done and will try to Mod as much as possible to make this more intresting.
For now i have made few and rest will do as an when i get free time

I m also open for Request incase someone wants to add some particular image or a shape no ETA..

Requirement to make this work for now
Samsung S4 ( Should work on all S4 Sammy Base Variants)
Must be Rooted

Download the zip extract the apk u want
Use file manager, solid explorer or any good file manager u want

Copy-paste the APK to system/app and replace with old one & Reboot

All Done.

Note : I take no responsibility for any thing that may happen to your Phone do this at your own risk.

Great work buddy. but one doubt. when i will replace that apk, will it automatically replace the image or glare effect? or i need to place any other image (included in zip) to other folder?

u just have to replace the "apk" image i gave inside so i dont forget which i have put Lol and and users can see whats inside and incase any ur choice image u want will do that also

Btw will be uploading flashable zips too just tryg if i can add something more

I tried that but both are separate entity / apk and works separately only even if i try merging but i cant and i m really 0 at xml editing

Its something way beyong my knowledge

in glanceview.apk. ...only two images needs to be changed at raw folder

1. background.png
2. sublighttr_01.png

and there is no need for xml edits at the moment

I said XML editing is req if we have to try and make patter unlock and Glance view both run together at same time

Which i see very difficult unless some genius does it

Also, i have changed the apk from original one. but nothing happened. actually i have flashed vtheme zip of glance look changes. now its same as before.

After replacing the apk reboot or close all running apps and clear ram then
Put it on the flat surface and wait for a while, don't move the phone at all...
Once there's no movement for a while, the phone thinks its no more in your hands, the quick glance will work...

Or

You can try going to Settings -> My Devices -> Motion and gestures -> Air Gestures -> Quick glance -> "Try It" to see if it works...

Is there any way to choose what to display on the screen? I am not interested in Smasung mail notification, but I would like to have Gmail. Or add anything according to my needs.
And as a second point, also related to customization, would it be possible to display a summary of SMS and calls? (like the numbers from which I have the missed calls, or names from whom I have received SMS....)

use


it is RAW folder... use 7zip and open the apk...You will see a folder called RAW and replace the png in that. That's all and no need for decompile...

U can try allmost nil chances of bricking just have nandroid back up
.
