you're probably using the stock kernel (?)
maybe needs support init.d
try to Install kernel adiutor & use emulate Init.d (busybox?)

However, it shows that it works..I think the only problem shown in the picture is this error with Init.d
Just,download kernel adiutor & turn on Init.d emulator (If you have busybox already Installed is better,but IDK if it works on your rom - android 9)
(personally I'm using govtuner "4.1.1" only in 7.1.2 & 8.1 roms until now)

I went ahead and flashed the 4.2 beta 3. Two new init.d files showed up in the folder. So far, battery life has decreased substantially. Running LeeDroid ROM on HTC U Ultra. Wondering if I need to delete the two init.d files baked into the ROM? 98permissive and placeholder. Still using L Speed with no CPU scripts in place.
Decryption password request at reboot was also skipped. Also Kernel Aduitor keeps stopping before it will start.

So is the stable version the GovTuner 4.2 beta_3, or is there a later version? It caused a lot of instability with my device.
Yes, that's the latest, my friends stopped at that point.
Now I finally got the time to rework whole gov tuner and make it wide compatible.

Awesome! I'll be on the lookout for the next release, and I'll let you know how it does on my device. After uninstalling, it left the two init.d files in my init.d folder. I manually deleted them. That shouldn't cause any problems, if they weren't there prior to flashing GovTuner, right? It was an sudaemon file, and I think the other was 00permissive.

Those two files are not from gov tuner, it's from your system. At least deleting them won't affect anything on your device.

After the flash, go into Terminal emulator and type the following

The script runs in background and check periodically if the governor was changed, so it update the governor tunables for the new governor in case of changed governor or the tweaks were removed by the system.

Note i)FixedKenzo : ( especially Redmi Note 3 users), if GovTuner menu doesn't show up properly run again on a new window in Terminal
ii) Samsung users with New Exynos processors (especially Note 5, S7), GovTuner will only tune your little cores for now. Don't panic if your device isn't recognized as cluster in main menu
I'm taking a break from development for some time, as other important priorities of life have come up. Thanks for all the support guys. @Debuffer, @N1m0Y and @Paget96 will continue the development of GovTuner. It's been a pleasure to have worked along with these guys for this awesome community. Surely will come back with better ideas and sharper codes.
