I stall xposed (root) then install module app settings. You can individually program incompatible apps to load at stock resolution.

I am going to post an EASIER UPDATED GUIDE for the Note 4.
All of the Note 3 tricks work on the Note 4 regarding DPI so far

Wanted to add you can skip build.prop/ Rom Toolbox steps and just program APP Settings:
System UI : change the DPI there its the same as changing the build.prop

@chaosrecords , my friend, sorry to revive an old thread, but I figured that your expertise would be well received As of now, Xposed doesn't work with Lollipop on the Note 3, and it'll be awhile before we have even a beta for it - so, I was wondering if you knew anything about changing DPI settings for individual apps without the use of XPosed?

@chaosrecords , my friend, sorry to revive an old thread, but I figured that your expertise would be well received As of now, Xposed doesn't work with Lollipop on the Note 3, and it'll be awhile before we have even a beta for it - so, I was wondering if you knew anything about changing DPI settings for individual apps without the use of XPosed?

Unfortunately I do not.. yet.. but havent really tried

There is a team working on Xposed for lollipop, however last i checked it didnt work with touchwiz roms But it may work with an AOSP Rom.
Since Lollipop came out I went to a stock rom rooted and just left the dpi alone since its tolerable with the note 4s native resolution being so high I have the camera sound menu muted, and the hotspot activated and adblocker and some bloat i manually removed, and it works for me.

Ive been kind of out of the loop lately because in Feb Snapchat decided to put C&D on everyone that developed add-ins to the app, so I have just been using my note for calls and chrome and started using my iPad ALOT more.

There hasnt been a big push for Note 4 Development compared to the note 3. Im near the end of the road with Samsung, they take one step forwards and two steps back. Would be nice if we saw a waterproof note 5 that didnt look like an iphone and didn't ditch the micro sd slot/ battery, but i have a feeling Samsung will do exactly what it did on the s6 to the Note 5 and that will be the nail in the coffin for me..Who knows =)

I am going to download some of these ported aosp roms and start playing around if i find anything useful ill be sure to post back here.

My friend, is there any S6 camera ports available? I've had manual settings for the one that I had previously installed? It might be worth a try

As for the help, though, it is gratefully appreciated regardless - the only reason I want to change the DPI for individual apps is because I am trying to sideload the Microsoft Office for Tablet apps with the best resolution possible without having it affect the camera resolution. I don't like AOSP on the Note 3 because the camera sucks, and I need S-Pen features for school and work - but, other than that, I think that SlimROM might be the best to look for.
