If someone has the same the same doubt I had...... I was already on Philz kernel with Aryamod v7. So I only flashed with odin the PIT file (second from OP) and rebooted. After the phone started, it told me USB storage was blank. I formatted, rebooted then restored a nandroid backup. Everything went well, now app space is 4 gb and usb storage is 9. NO Yellow Triangle that could be easily removed with triangle away.
I would encourage to follow the OP instructions though to prevent any problem, but just wanted to share my experience with this amazing mod. Thank you metalgearhathaway.

I encountered the same problem some people faced before, which is "can't mount /emmc" and "internal storage can't be formatted".
I searched the forum and saw that people solved that problem either via Abbyss or PhilZ kernel. I also downloaded Abbyss 4.2 kernel. Tried to format /emmc. But still got the same error. Though I was able to wipe data/factory reset.

What should I do? Pls help.

Use recovery to mount the partition to your computer. Then format it using the computer.

Finally, I have managed to solve the problem. And I believe my solution is concrete.
Here is the solution:

First download the desired pit file.
Then Download XXKL8 Rom which includes UMS partition.(Here is a download link: http://www.usp-forum.de/downloads.php?do=file&id=1196)
Download Odin v3.04 with UMS option. (To activate UMS, open.Odin3.ini file and find the related UMS/PATCH=0 line. Change 0 to 1.)
Then flash 4 file firmware together with new pit file.
When phone boots, sd card is ready to use but the capacity is still shoen as 11 GB. Format it via your phone. After that it will be shown as the correct size.
Then flash a .tar kernel of desire, Speedmod for example.
Boot into recovery.
Factory reset/format data.
Then install your beloved Custom ROM.

Regards.

This guide helps you to allocate more memory into internal memory from internal sd card. So u can increase your 2 Gb internal into more than 2 Gb. No u can't totally convert into all 16 Gb internal memory. Post above u states the latest partition is @Max 12. GB

is there any easier way to switch 2gb into 12 gb? or any custom rom that come with this feature?
this need to re flash to stock rom and complicated without video guide
i am at cm 10 and really dunno how to proceed
i never use odin and i dont know which is compatible or not
i still want cyanogenmod 10 with this feature , is there any more detailed explanation how to do it ?

No other way. Yes the procedure needs effort but the benefit of expanding your internal memory is definitely worth it.

i am so excited when i found out about this [MOD][GUIDE]Philz Flashable Re-Partition Zip 16GB ONLY and it's turn out to be a failure mod and it's not tested and hope it will come back with tested version
can u guide me ?
i just want to ask a few of things before i begin
1.where i can get the odin ? and what it means by compatible version? is it something like linux windows or mac?
2.after step 3 , do i need to check that auto reboot and f time ? and i click the start button after step 3 ?
3. At step 4, i want to choose 4b, but where i can get the kernel .tar for cm 10 ? and do i insert the kernel at that PDA ?

hope u can answer my 3 question :good:

1. Either type ODIN in the search column or google. Compatible means the vers. Of odin that works with GT N7000.

2. My faultless way is to :
A. Flash the preferred PIT File and a stock samsung 4.1.2 JB firmware together using odin with re-partition option ticked. (Get stock firmware at sammobile.com/firmware. Download XXLTA vers. Preferred)

B. After odin success, reboot to stock recovery using 3 button combo. Do a factory wipe reset. Boot into system, when asked to format internal data choose yes.

C. Flash phils xxlta recovery + kernel in stock recovery to get root n recovery.

D. You can now flash whatever rom u want. Just follow the correct procedures of the OP of the rom u want.

Note: These steps are MY personal preference. By doing these steps u will avoid yellow triangle. Of course u can try following the optional steps provided in the OP.

It's because phil's latest (oldest) recovery is XXLTA based and is already proven to be the most stable one. Btw u have a misconception. To get a better signal (which is almost none better), you are talking about BASEBAND. XXLTA is BUILD number. FYI I'm from indonesia too so I hope my respond is credible enough for you to believe ;)

so if i use other build number it may be conflict with the philz recovery?

You can choose whatever build No that you want, just flash the corresponding Phil's kernel later. Those listed above are all XXLTA BUILD so doesn't really matter which ones.

10 & 12 gb ones r the new updates. I use only 6 gb one. If it contains 12 gb variant then use it if u want 12 gb. It's automatic partitioning so just flash it in the PIT in odin.

Custom binary is like a counter that shows your device has been tampered with e.g flashing custom recovery, roms n such. It is used by vendor (samsung in this case) to know that u have 'broken' the guarantee seal (if it's still under warranty) n as an excuse to reject your claim. My method described above will not raise your binary count
