I checked it 8 times just to make sure that I didn't do any mistakes :p
:) . LOL i thought i'm the first tester. 8 times check just Wow. Thats why did not try to do this by myself as it is very risky. Great job indeed. This partition stuff one of best things we have for note.

@metalgearhathaway, can you create a 16GB data & 0B sdcard pit?

Edit:
just saw your post about creating PIT, if you're not making any more PITs, ill have a go at it myself,
otherwise, I'd appreciate it.

as soon as i am back for the weekend I will make it for you, i think I'll have to leave nominal partitions though, I would anticipate that the phone "might" be funny about it.

So at your risk I can do both or just one of the following:

1) Try allocating all memory after system partition that all should be data, no internal storage/internal sd card no preload either

2) Perform a regular pit where the internal memory storage and preload area's have a nominal 50mb allocated

Let me know before the weekend!

if by funny, you mean the ROM might be acting up because of no internal sd, then thats fine, but if there is a risk of any serious damage, 2 will do the trick.
but either way, losing 100mb is nothing to worry about, so again, 2 seems like the ok option.

At last! I managed to create the PITs and flashed them!
Everything seems to be fine and working really nice. (Hopefully no leaks, as i only double-checked them)
But, it seems the time has come for me to retire my N7000.
It has been the fifth times my phone dropped in the water.
I will fix my phone in the future, or never.
If anyone of you need a hand on creating those PITs i'll surely help! ^^

Need some help please.

I have CM11 on my N7000 and plan to move to CM12.1 and at the same time do the repartition.
(and of course factory reset and format whole system)

Obviously I already use custom kernel etc.

I don' think I can find latest Philz (or some Lollipop kernel) in .tar.md5 format.
Is there any alternative method to use or what?

Also never used Odin in Windows 8.1... hope there are no issues.

I can... Will add several additional steps though.
The device will need to be re-rooted (with Odin?) etc.

Also, does anybody know if 4GB PIT with 45MB preload (OP) are ok for RESURRECTION REMIX LP 5.4.0?

Something went horribly wrong for me..
I tried to repartition my wife's phone using 6GB pit file and philz kernel.
Everything seemed ok until the phone started to reboot and then got powered off..

Then the MTP driver failed to get installed in the pc..

The phone didn't reboot after few seconds of N7000 icon. I went to recovery and installed Bauner's CM12.1 B2 Kernel then ROM and Gapps.

When I rebooted I checked the system partition it showed only 1.97GB.

And then while trying to format internal SD, I deleted the internal SD..

Please advice what to do, how to restore internal storage and 6GB partition..

I am screwed.. ??

I reflashed the stock ROM.. There I was prompted for formating the internal storage..

After formating the internal storage is shown as USB storage.

I again Re-partitioned using 6GB pit file and philz kernal and then flashed Bauner's CM12.1 Beta2 Kernel, ROM and Gapps..

However again it does not show internal storage.. therefore apps requiring internal storage (Titanium Backup / camera/ whatsapp) doesn't work.. Moving Apps to SD card shows insufficient space..

Somebody please help?

Next time just edit your first post, double posting makes things look untidy.
According to the thread, try flashing the PIT file with a stock ROM first. Did you do that?

As said by @AutumQueen92 . flash the stock rom with the pit first . then format internal sb card via the stock rom . then root the device . install a lolipop compatible custom recovery . and then flash nightowl :D done
I did all the above but still not working..
I have again flashed the Stock rom and formatted the internal sd.. It shows as USB storage..
Can I now directly partition using 6GB pit file and philz kernel..
Next I will flash CM12.1 Beta2 Kernel and then the ROM..
Thanks

Read what was written in the past: Flash Stock Rom and your 6GB Pit file. Reboot to Stock Rom and format sd card. Now flash korrect kernel for CM 12.1 and CM 12.1 Rom...
