1st you flash this recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/devdb/project/dl/?id=18061 , then you https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762635999029 install this trought this new installed recovery and then you need to install from /tmp again and it should work.
data=6gb (means +4gb for apps)
sdcard0=~7gb (means -4gb from the stock size)
Thanks for the quick response.

I am new to this and have few more doubts,
1. flashing twrp, can I do it as zip file installation from CWM itself or should I use odin or adb.
2. after flashing twrp I need to install the zip from https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24499762635999029 using twrp
3. install from /tmp again , do you mean the installation of CM10 from zip file along with Gapps

1. Yes you can from CWM ( i did that aswell)
2. Exactly
3. No, you need to go back in the main directory , and then you will see all directorys from phone, and you need to find /tmp.

Hi,
Sorry to bother you again, i am still not clear with step3 , install from /tmp

main directory should be accessed from twrp and I should install the custom rom and gapps, is it ? could you please provide a screen shot if possible. ( because I searched about twrp and couldnt get any details related to main directoty and /tmp )

for example you are in c:\\system\android , but you need to go in c:\\ and find folder tmp so location would be c:\\tmp\\

Thanks used ur rom and my n7000 seems like different phone. This is great.. Pls I want to partition my internal SD so I can free my phone. How can I go about it... Here is my email. [email protected] Thanks once again.
which rom are you referring to? You can use the instructions in the OP of this long established thread & reinstall the ROM or you could try the new tool from Lanchon mentioned in the CM13 NightOwl thread so you don't need to re install.

Hi @Lanchon,

Sorry for the late reply, I've been wanting to partition both my Note 1 (N7000) and S2 (i9100 and i9100P) to a better partition table. You kindly pointed me in the direction of your App/util, via flashing....

... however I was a bit noob-ish/nervous to do so, and so have put it off until now.

That said, I've seen a few other posts, and see you've already pre-configured some Zips for download.

Basically, I want to create 1.5GB system / 6GB data / the rest to Internal SD Card storage.

So basically your Zips here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=83471

Current: lanchon-repit-20160723-system=1.0-data=same-sdcard=max-preload=min+wipe-i9100.zip
Change: lanchon-repit-20160723-system=1.5-data=6-sdcard=max-preload=min+wipe-i9100.zip

Current: lanchon-repit-20160723-system=1.0-data=same-sdcard=max-preload=min+wipe-N7000.zip
Change: lanchon-repit-20160723-system=1.5-data=6-sdcard=max-preload=min+wipe-N7000.zip

1) Do those values look right/correct? Is that all I do, just rename the zip file?
2) I assume the i9100 will work on the i9100P too, as its the same phone with just NFC
3) Does this method wipe/destroy existing data on the /data and internal SD Card? or does it just move it to resize?

Sorry for such noob-ish questions...

Many thanks, Lister

TWRP

Hi,
I tried flashing twrp recovery from CWM via the install zip from sd card option. the installation was successful, but still it is going to CWM recovery only. Twrp is not visible. Can you suggest? Also is it necessary to wipe cache, dalvik cache , user data and all for flashing twrp recovery ? ( i didnt do these).

for example you are in c:\\system\android , but you need to go in c:\\ and find folder tmp so location would be c:\\tmp\\

Flash it then immediately boat back into recovery and flash it again, and only then boot to Android.

1) yes and yes.
2) yes, there should be no problems.
3) it keeps all data in all partitions not specifically marked with the "wipe" option, given that "keep" is the default option.

Are you on Cyanogenmod? It's not clear to me if you are or if you are getting old recovery on reboot or if you are also flashing ROM again.

As first step. If on Cyanogenmod (or other ROMs too I guess) go to developer options and make sure "update cyanogenmod recovery" is NOT on. But I think this is probably not your issue.

Else there is some file that needs to be renamed/deleted but don't know what it is on CM, search for something like "recovery doesn't stick"

how to repartition n7000

hi im running CM10.1.3 on my gt n7000 with CWM 6.0 as the recovery android version 4.2.2 baseband version N7000XXLT3, i would like to try out the method suggested in your post, but i have few doubts related to this.

which pit file should i use, i can see that you have uploaded two zip files one named as "NOT for stock or custom roms using preload" and the second file is " n7000916gb)_4_8_12"

I am not sure if CM10.1.3 uses preload or not kindly suggest me which file to download....
Also can you provide me the link for stock JB ROM , I am from india.

You need an IsoRec ROM. For CM that means 12.1 and up. So check the ROM you want to flash for IsoRec support.

Do i need to reinstall the ROM

Hi @hksaaa,
I managed to flash an isorec rom, nightowl cm13 androis v 6.0 in my gt n7000 so that now i have twrp as my recovery and i am ready to re-partition my note.
Just a small clarification , before flashing the Lanchon repit zip, do i have to perform wipe cache, dalvik cache and factory reset, also do i have to install the nihtowl rom after flashing the repit file.

With the correct repit filename you don't need to wipe anything and you will not loose the rom and your data (but it is always a good idea to have a backup if something should go wrong)

I have made 2 example repit files which will not delete anything

file system error in partition#12

Hi @bauner ,
I tried the first repit file you posted, where preload is not modified. first time the installation failed as you mentioned, then I ran it from /tmp. it stopped and gave the following error.

/dev/block/mmcblk0p12: unexpected inconsistency run fsck manualy ( i.e without -a or -p)

file system errors in partition #12 preload(hidden) could not be automatically fixed( try running e2tsck -f /dev/block/mmcblk0p12

I couldnt find the log file detailing this issue.... I was bit afraid but the phone booted back to cm13 nightowl without any issues, partition is still intact( not modified).

What could be the reason for this.... should I try the minimum preload repit zip file..?

Nithin S.
