thank you so much, how to import pit file? :D
Sadly that is beyond my current abilities on Android. All pit files I have moddified have been stock files that people have sent to me or I have found.

I believe the you can obtain a pit file from a device using some adb commands, but I have not ventured that route, maybe some clever developer might see this and teach us.

PIT file can be downloaded from a device using Heimdall.
Put the phone into download mode, install the drivers using zdiag in the Heimdall folder. Open the front end app and go to utilities tab. There is an option to print or download the PIT file..

Cheers for that :good: I ask and I get, praise be the community :)

So if anyone wants me to look at a pit, now you know how to obtain it for me :) Of course, the best way is send me a phone to keep and I'll extract and test on it :p

I solved the problem, there was certainly something that I jumped and gave me those errors. I installed the pit 6GB and goes a wonder, then mounting the Arya v5 rom. Thanks for your work that many of us to solve a problem whose solution is the sought for some time. Hello and thanks again metalgearhathaway :good: :D ;)
Hello. Can I confirm this with you then.. That the PIT files work even with arya roms? Currently using Arya Rom V5.5

Yes, of course. No problem with the pit 6GB who worked quietly with other rom I try, soon. ;)
Thank You so much sir! May I ask again, seeing as I already using my AryaRom with all the apps installed, should I flash this PIT, will restoring from my nandroid back up be effective (meaning all apps and user data restored and repartitioned)? or will I have to reinstall them one by one?

Hello.

Can somebody tell me that if I'm already on a custom rom with cwm already installed, should I skip flashing philz.tar in odin and just flash the PIT file or should I reflash the philz.tar also? Thank you so much for answering this noob question.

Hello..

I did read them sir.. I even printed the whole instructions just to be clear:D. Just wanna make sure only. anyway it's done and worked successfully. Thank you sir;)

I tried to flash the 6GB pit on my Galaxy Note, with a stock ROM, the USB storage has decreased but the internal storage remains at 2GB. :(
I also flashed 6 GB PIT with stock rom, and formatted the sd card when prompted. and it worked. did u format the sd card when asked? which pit file did u use? don't use the modded preload edition as stated. Try reflashing it again. for me, after flashing in odin and during rebooting, I restarted in recovery right after samsung logo appears (not until menu appears) and do a factory wipe/reset in stock recovery and then I let it reboot to and formatted the internal sd after the set up menu and it works. Should try and if still fails, it could be that u have a corrupted sd card. hopefully someone will be able to help you.

Thanks for your help, will try again tomorrow. By 'sd card' do you mean the internal 'USB storage'?

Yes... Don't forget to run odin as administrator (right click and click run as admin).

You will receive a notice saying "sd card error, do u want to format?' hit 'yes' and then it will go well. Happy trying

For anyone having difficulties on formating internal storage after flashing this modded PIT file (Already tried from the rom or the computer but still failed), try formatting from Philz latest recovery (mount-->format sdcard0-->vfat). It should work.

Thanks for tip mate, well for me it failed all, even refused mounting sdcard0 through PHilZ recovery, but succeeded through mounting USB Storage through recovery and formatting it through windows then another format from withing the rom settings (STORAGE).

Well, of course it will fail if you choose mount sdcard0, because the partitions hasn't formatted yet. So choose the "format sdcard0" menu, not "mount sdcard0".
