I have a rooted note 3 hung up on the yellow sprint screen even after a hard reset. I was trying to enable native hotspot following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2505850&page=6
.... I was in the middle of editing the files and then I had a stroke of genius to stop everything and make a back up and this is what got me caught up on the splash screen. I would have posted in that thread but it is now closed, and the last post from a mod links to this thread.

Sorry, can someone please assist me with this, any help would be appreciated

Many routes, do you want to trip Knox and get recovery, or just obtain root? The answer to that drives the response.

Plz Help Stuck at Yellow Sprint Screen

well looks like ill be flipping my knox flag.
thought i had everything done correctly file looked good.
copied over to system..
locks up at sprint logo.

and i guess theres no true adb access in the stock recovery only sideload which doesnt seem to be any use for replacing system files.
unless im missing something i guess ill be installing twrp.
oh well it was bound to happen sooner or later.


WOOT nevermind. was able to get back in adb style

ok looks like i have one that should work i think i just had permissions messed up.

Again thank you for your work, I tried it but I'm stuck at the sprint screen also, I downloaded adb from google updated but I'm not able to see the device under adb devices I've tried on win7 and win8 both 64bit devices I'm still at Kn0x 0x0 and MI5. Any advice of how I can get into adb and correct those files?

I think I used the MJ4 version over the MI5. Also when I plug the phone in to the PC it does see it but I can't access it

You could always just use Odin and the latest official mj4 update.

That should bring your phone back, and update it to the latest at the same time. And shouldn't trip knox.

Ok.... Tried the Kingoapp root method and yes it works. Issue though still cannot restore apps with titanium backup. The apps just force close. I do have the newest version and tried the restorecon terminal command. I also only tried it so far with Need for speed Most wanted.

It is jist like they say. Your status changes to custom and the knox flag stays 0x0.

A-Key

Is there a way to write the A-key and make sure it sticks ? any advice on this issue fellas ?
Indian carriers use A-key unlike the cdma providers in the US. without it, we have call drops.

cannot finish odexing a file back into my phone

I finally got everything to decompile and compile etc.

now when i'm trying to odex the file back into my phone I cannot -_- anyone able to help?

Just threw in the new odex file and the new apk file. There's something strange where com.phone.xxxx keeps force closing/dying

found out how to get this resolved -- cannot odex back in though, which I would like but it's failing -- i can live with the file deodexed... kind of annoyed though since instructions vary so much between developers and there's no solid guide that sits here... oh well figured it out.

Sure, either Wanam Xposed module or...you can go with the Team Black Out paid app, which has a very nice widget that gives you the same thing. See below.

Last I read it was the screen wake on incoming message that wasn't working, which I believe is on the to-do list.

I believe that the uncompressed mod is baked in. Please check with the dev after you've read the changelog in the thread and done a search of the latter pages of posts.

I'm unclear, but you could always turn on Palm Motion written the settings menu (third tab, near the bottom).

Once that is on, simply sliding the side of your hand across the surface of the screen will automatically do a screen capture. No button presses at all.
