Again sorry if a noob question but i seen no 100% answer for this question.

I am stock right out of the box and i rooted it. Now i downloaded the odexd mod so do i do like back in my old evo days of flashing and put this in the root of the phone go into recovery and flash it? then rebooted/

Do i have the right 1 for a stock 100% except i rooted it the Odexed and am i doing it right flashing by putting it on the root directory of the phone and flash it in recovery?

Thanks in advanced it has been like 2 years since i flashed and it was a little different back then.
If your stock and root.odex would be the way to go.
You must also have a custom recovery such as TWRP.
Then put the file on SD
And flash in recovery as normal.

From my Note 3 using Tapatalk

can also confirm odex version works great on vega knox free root now that we have mi5
just needed to copy files over manually.

Correct. Flash the odex hotspot mod via TWRP. Just make sure you're on MI5 firmware.

The JellyBomb ROM is pretty stable but trust your instincts, they're there for a reason.

First of all I don't have the Note 3, I have the S4, so do this at your own risk. However I am pretty confident that it won't hurt anything. Just make a backup to be safe.

If you are missing the hotspot option try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=44779759&postcount=199. *Can someone that has the option check what yours says to make sure it is the same as in the instructions. If not please post what yours says.

This guide should work for adding the hotspot option to the toggles.

@JoshBeach, if either of these work you are welcome to include them in the OP if you like.

Good deal. The first tutorial may help those that don't have the option at all in settings. It worked for several people on the S4.

I don't what I am doing wrong but I eventually used a root browser and just overwrote the services.jar and services.odex file with the mod and it is now working.
I am trying the same thing but the newly copied file is always renamed to services - copy.jar and services - copy.odex automatically...
Do you know the correct procedure to "overwrite"?
I am using root browser and changed the permission of the framwork folder to add "writing" firstly.

You may give another file browser a shot. I used es file explorer to copy mine.

Not working on my Sprint Note 3

I have rooted my Sprint Note 3, but am stil using the stock ROM. I tried the ODEXED version of the zip file, but I still get the subscription message when I turn on the Hotspot in settings. Any suggestions?

Thank and Sorry

Use root explorer to push the modded jar and odex into system framework. Then set permissions accordingly and reboot.

Thank you, I pushed the files and it is working properly. Sorry, that I missed that in previous posts. I jumped to the end of the thread. You all rock.
