(MOD) I9505 Surround Sound

This is not my work, its @sshafranko 's one ,so all the credits go to him!!

This mod will activate your front earpiece speaker in conjunction with the rear main speaker any time.
Speaker mode is used for example playing music, watching movies, shows, you tube and so on, creating an almost surround sound type of effect.

Tested on AntaresOne's [Unofficial] CyanogenMod 12.0, on the international I9505 variant --> soundmod.zip
Tw roms (tested on GoldFinger Rom) credits @pika456 --> snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3_auxpcm.zip

Viper 4 android and DSP are working!!!!

Installation

Step 1 : Download attached zip and extract
Step 2: Replace the ''snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3'' in system/etc/snd_soc_msm on Aosp or ''snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3_auxpcm'' in on TW (save your stock file )
STep 3: Reboot and profit!

Doesn't work on TW ROMs. @sshafranko Could you please take a look at the TW stock 4.4.2 firmware files?
I'm attaching the whole snd_soc_msm folder so you can check which one really need to be modded.

I fixed it for i9505 4.4.2 TW (GoldFinger is my ROM)

I am not responsible if ANYthing goes wrong

unrar and replace original in //etc/smd_soc_msm
also set the correct permissions

Take BACKUP!! and have fun


PS. the frond speaker is at lower volume than the rear, in fear of damage

If anyone wants the front speaker louder (I do not suggest that)
you can increase the corresponding volume from 63 to 66-67
or tell me to do it for you.

I'm afraid that this may damage the speaker though.

Again, thanks for modding it, I guess 65 would be a good increase (because is the medium point) not too high nor too low; The important thing is that the mod works..

What is supposed to do? I have to replace the two files or just the @pika456 's one? I'm on 4.4.2... another question, I'm using googymax kernel so it has its own sound boost (not surround), could be this compatible?

I have like every mod possible on my S4, but I didn't even think of this! The improvement in sound is great! Thanks, working perfectly on 4.4.2 Phoenix ROM V9 (i9505).

But I wonder why Samsung hasn't enabled this by default? Will the front speaker be damaged after time?

It works fine on CarHD Rom 36s with AEL Kernel 6.5.
I have modded the Surround Volume from 63/67 to 65 / 67 and It works fine.

Finally... If anyone don't know how files use on tw 4.4.2 do this:
1 download the sound.zip in op
2 download the file provided by pika456
3 go to /system/etc/snd_soc_msm/
4 backup the 2 original files
5 replace those files with the new ones
6 restart

I have a question, how can i modify the volumen for front speaker? I think that front and rear must have the same volumen or I'm wrong?
