I resized the images from 32x32 to 36x36 and put all the images in xhdpi. (deleted all old ones)
Are the images still small or are they bigger then before but still smaller then the originals?

But hopefully they're good now :)

Once again many thanks for your effort and help! The icons are still displayed smaller but all of them. As there is no longer change in size at those certain values of the battery percentage (they are all the time smaller) it looks better. Thank you!
I decided to use created by the UOT Kitchen file with my icons to get bigger size of the battery and that works great. If you find a moment to look at this file https://www.dropbox.com/s/bi5il24clwsb9vv/SystemUI.apk you will probably find how to modified the Battery Mod Tools build-up systemUI.apk to work on SG3 in the proper way. For me it is too complicated so far. Regards, Piotr

Did you try the created systemui? Try it. Backup first.

Sorry, I don't understand. The battery mod needs both I think, the framework and systemui... I copy both to my pc... modifiy them and flash both with the zip via CMWTouch. I have stock rom/kernel Jelly Bean 4.1.2 XWLSD (DBT). There a lot of error messages after I execute the batch. I think the path of the pictures is another at Jelly Bean!

You need to install the framework-res for modifying the systemUI.apk. You don't have to replace your framework-res.apk because it's not changed.

But I read you flashed the modified systemUI.apk. You said it didn't work, so what happend? No battery symbol or did you still had the original symbols?

Battery Mod 1.2 needs both apks... systemui and framework... after modifing via batch the mod creates a zip to flash! Same thing as very year! I don't know how to install the framework-res.. on ICS it works with flashing only... BUT the error messages are happens at the modifing process.. before flashing it!

You said it didn't work, so what happend? No battery symbol or did you still had the original symbols?

I'm using Battery Mod since ICS 4.0.1 and it works very time... but now on JellyBean nothing happens! The battery icon is the same ugly green thing... :(

I guess you simply have to substitute the files in working_dir of battery mod 1.2 with the updated ones that you find at page 148 file Working_Dir.rar.
That is why I think someone should update the first post with maybe a new 1.3 version!

I loaded the working_dir.rar from page 148 and I replaced the files. But there are the same error massages and the mod doesn't work!

The attachement includes the original systemui.apk from my stock firmware XWLSD 4.1.2 (DBT)!

At the end it says that it created a new systemui.apk. So it should work. If you want to flash the zip you needed to change something.
It's easier to change the file manually. Only replace the systemUI.apk
Upload your framework-res.apk and images also if it didn't work.

Those are not errors but warnings. And warnings that have nothing to do with the battery images. In fact you come up with a modified systemui.apk. Simply follow the instructions of Christiaan91 and should work.

Hi which SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk should i mod, the ones in the original rom before flashing or the ones on the rom after i flash it to my phone? Also can the battery mod work if i extract SystemUI.apk and framework-res.apk from my phone which has a rom and a theme ( like omega v23 and jb reloaded theme for example)?

You need the files from your running rom, so first flash the rom you want then pull the files. About the themes, Idk try and find out.

I used this mod this weekend on my phone and flashing the zip didn't work. it says something like the systemui is the same so it doesn't replace it. But I replace it manually using es file explorer and it works... Just wanted to let you know .
I have stock firmware XWLSD 4.1.2

    Hey guys,

This tool allows you to compile your own "Battery Mod" using your own PNG Battery Images of your choice. For your convenience, I have compiled a list of Battery Images below for you to choose.
This tool works with Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3/4.0.4 for both CyanogenMod and Samsung type ROMs

I take no credit what so ever for the creation and design of the battery images however, I will pin a medal on my chest for the many hours I've spent perfecting them to suite your needs.
They were designed by their respective authors shown below. (so please show them THANKS in their original thread(s))
I have taken the files from this source by mrvirginia.

Compatible with: Official CM9 (Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3/4.0.4)
Compatible with: "Stock" Samsung Deodexed ROMs (Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3/4.0.4)

The usual disclaimer: I accept no responsibility if your phone blows up or it screws with your system giving you a boot loop or something. I can't reproduce every single users installation type. In saying that, I'm pretty certain they all should install ok on your device.

    INSTRUCTIONS: (for "experienced users")

    1a) Download: Battery Mod Tool v1.2 for Windows (Mirror1) (Mirror2) (Mirror3) (Mirror4)
    1b) Download: Battery Mod Tool v1.2 for Linux (Mirror1) (Mirror2) (Mirror3) (Mirror4)
    2) Download: The battery images of your choice (Mirror1) (Mirror2) (Mirror3) (Mirror4) (or use your own images)
    3) Copy the 204 x Battery PNG images to the "Input_Images" folder
    4) Copy "SystemUI.apk" to the "Input_APKs" folder
    5) Copy "framework-res.apk" to the "Input_APKs" folder
6a) Double-click "Mod_my_battery!.bat" and sit back and wait for Windows version
6b) Check inside the tarball package for instructions on how to use the Linux version
    7) Check the "Output" folder for your newly modded SystemUI

    INSTRUCTIONS: To RESTORE the backup.

A flashable ZIP file is created during flashing of the battery mod. This is a backup of your original SystemUI.apk file. Each ZIP is timestamped with the date and time in GMT/UTC. All you have to do, is flash this ZIP as you would any other flashable CWM zip file. The files are located in \SDCard\UniversalFlasher\

    FAQ:

    Q. I can't see my new battery mod? (using CM9)
    A. Check the battery display setting. (Settings - Interface - System - Status Bar - Battery status style -> Icon (default))

    Q. I had an error during the modding process... something about "airplane_mode" not present.
    A. You can safely ignore this. It's more of a warning and not an error.

    THANKS:

My new tool for you all.
I've created a tool to automatically create a modded SystemUI.apk containing any 1% battery you wish.
It's very simple to use, just follow the Instructions in the root of the zip archive.

This tool is setup to work with both CM9 and Sammy ROMs.

Let me know if you have any dramas.

    Hope this helps.
