and camera​

Just share a little MOD...i'm not a DEV


NEED:
-rooted Xperia S
-file manager with root acces (or push via ADB)
-test work with STOCK .452 and .58 firmware



INSTALLATION:


1) donwload the version you need (unzip this file )

FOR .55 FIRMWARE​

2) copy the "android.policy.odex" file to /system

3) give the PERMISSION:

4) MOVE the file to /system/framework/

5) REBOOT and.... done
Device may take 1 or 2 minute booting!



will work on CUSTOM ROM (don't know for CM9)

Hmm.. not sure if anyone has the same issue as I do. Tried the "Both vol up and down" version on .73 SG generic fw and the touchscreen gone mad. I mean like a random touch everywhere on the screen. Copy the original file back and the problem gone.

i made with focus key, but how to switch off screen with second press on the focus key?

For all who want to know how to do, just go to usr/keylayout/ fuji-keypad.kl
and add "WAKE" after "key 528 FOCUS"

Perhaps i can try make the VOLUME KEY totaly replace the POWER button (ON / OFF)....and make POWER KEY increase. the volume UP (if you or somebody else want)

Dude, if you don't use the lock pattern or if you don't lock the screen with password, just simply press the camera key, and when the Camera app is open, press the Back button, and the Homescreen will appear. That's another way to open the device, for me

I don't know how many people often also put there screen back to sleep when only checking the time for example.
If so a second press while in lock screen to put screen back to sleep would be nice too (like power button does)
But i don't know if users really do that?

Yes i do that myself...but the screen stay ON just 5 second
if i try make that there will have a probleme...because if you want increase the volume UP, he will just TURN OFF the screen




but if you want I can try to INVERT the POWER key and VOLUME UP key

POWER BUTTON...will increase volume up (and wake up screen)
VOLUME UP...will wake and and turn black the screen (and LONG PRESS active POWER MENU)
