WARNING:
Using this mod may decrease battery life, decrease screen life and/or quality, cause overheating, cause your phone to blow up or cause other damage to your phone. Use at your own risk. I am not responsible for any damage this mod causes to your phone.

This Mod will increase the max brightness of your phone by about 10%.

Note:
Auto Brightness must be turned off for this to work.
Root is required for this Mod.

Instructions:
Download and run app attached to this post.

Or. ..

echo 1 > /sys/class/backlight/panel/auto_brightness

If you reboot or enable auto brightness you have to run it again.

The best way to tell if it worked would be to run it when your screen is already at full brightness. You'll see it go a bit brighter.

Tested on T-Mobile Note II, but this may work in many Samsung Galaxy phones.

Sweet, now I pretty much have no excuse not to get this phone. This is seriously sweet.
Just an inquiry, but do you know if color temperature or gamma control is modifiable via kernel, app, or other means?
Also, where is the enthusiastic community response?

Nobody has it and most expect it to be locked.

I think the answer is not yet. But I think it's coming, it's up to the kernel devs.

Nobody has the device yet...I think most are holding off to see what the skinny is on the bootloader. Also this is a nice mod but far from original development...needs moved to the other dev section and it will probably get more traffic.

Parsing error Verizon Galaxy Note II.

sent from my spaceship somewhere over Area 51
What do you mean? Does this not work on the Verizon version?

Are you rooted? Did you try the command instead of the app?

Yes, I'm rooted. And you said to "run the app".. so I didn't try pushing it. I'll do that and get back to you.
*edit* Working. Thank you sir.
