Re: [MOD][MA4/MA6/MB1] PRL Write Enabler & ##DEBUG# prompt removal

Does this work with AOSP ROMs as well?

I ask because the ## codes don't work with AOSP. Instead, I run the DIAG script and then update from DF. Currently, the diag script errors out... presumably due to this issue. I didn't see any posts in this thread that spoke to AOSP in this context.

I dont think so
If you cant get the first menu, then you cant get the submenu, or at least thats how I see it

But not sure. Try to install it and see if it works. Shouldnt mess anything up even if it doesnt work

I didn't know if the unlock was done by a script or something. Didn't see anything inside the zip... Tried it anyway and as you suspected, no luck.

Trying to figure out how to unlock it on ASAP now. Just in case someone here knows, below is the error I get when I run the diag script. It didn't give me a problem before MB1.

nts/scripts/DIAG.sh <
/sdcard/Documents/scripts/DIAG.sh[8]: can't create /sys/class/android_usb/android0/f_acm/instances: No such file or directory

Updated with MB1 APK even though the other one was reported as working. Could someone please test this one to make sure it works? I do not have an S3 to test this on so I have to work in the blind. As always...nandroid backup first.

Please try dialing ##DEBUG# too and make sure the code prompt doesn't come up. Thanks.
This works as advertised. However, as another user mentioned AnyCut shortcuts start to open and immediately close. I'm guessing they are doing something to check for how the activity is launched. Is this something you can look into?

I just thought it should be mentioned if it wasnt already mentioned elsewhere. Doing this does not require flashing anything in recovery. Infact it does not even require root.Download this HiddenMenu.apk and install over the one already there. You can then access the PRL write function using ##DATA# or creating a shortcut with ANYCUT

Used this but the write prl option always went away after one reboot. I simply clicked to install.

Is there a PRL-Write fix for MD4?

After updating to the MAx builds you will notice the PRL Write function is missing from the ##DATA# - View menu. This module is blocked for Sprint customers in the new update. Flash the appropriate ZIP in recovery to unblock this option (wipe cache after flashing).

From time to time I have had to do the PRL Write a several times for it to take, your results may vary.

PRLWUnhide_S3_[xxx].zip - Flash in recovery to unblock this option. This fix also has the stupid 777468 code requirement removed when going to ##DEBUG#. No need to enter a code as the prompt is gone(in MB1 version).

NOTE: You are responsible for your own actions of flashing zips and/or writing PRL files. Always perform a backup before any flashes just in case. Devs are welcome and encouraged to use this in their ROMs.
