[MOD][MAGISK] GPE Dialer and Contacts Magisk Mod for HTC 10.

Dialer Crashes in Nougat on T-Mobile.
After giving the Dialer Phone permissions it crashes. Tried disabling Wifi Calling/ VoLTE, but the app simply closes immediately after launch. Calls can be made via the Contacts app but no UI is shown. I can hear the call being made and connected but no status bar ui or actual UI.

I collected some of the error logs from ADM. I tried opening the dialer a couple times and saved the errors in a txt if it helps.

You need to set the Phone app. Like this

Also, this works perfectly in Viper 4.0.0 for me for the guy that didn't get it work.

That extra permission option at the bottom fixed it. Weird that the "Phone App" option isn't automatically associated/selected when the Phone permission is enabled.

For future users that might come across the same issue. Select the GPE Dialer as the default phone app.

Settings > Apps > Phone > Phone App > Phone App (again) > *Select Phone as default*

Hey guys, I'm sorry if this is answered somewhere on this thread but I read 4/5 pages back and haven't seen anything.

I'm still on Marshmallow. I updated this module through the Magisk Manager app and all went fine. I rebooted and there's something weird going on. The phone app is there and I can use it but as soon as I make a call or receive one, the HTC phone app is the one that shows.

I never had this happening to me before. Any idea of how to fix it or is this expected behaviour now?

Uninstalled and reinstalled, same thing.

Just to add a bit more info.

Unlocked European HTC 10 running latest official Marshmallow available (1.95.401.4). Rooted with Magisk and phh and running systemless Xposed. Everything is up to date.

I also get no sound when someone calls me.

Has anyone noticed that the speaker phone is really quiet on the latest version? Would a logcat help? If it's some issue with marshmallow (and I believe I saw the dev already jumped to N), then I'm fine just waiting for more Verizon love with N roms.

HTC 10, on Viper 4, was working for about a day but then contacts stopped working followed by phone.
I tried the above setting permissions, phone app, and Mod system settings but I can no longer open the phone or contact app. It just states "phone stopped" or "phone keeps stopping" same with contacts even after a reboot and reinstall through Magisk. Anything else I can try?

Removed the mod in Magisk and the stock dialer works.

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what is up. I am on N and was unable to test the changes to ensure MM version still worked. Can you probably try and flash it in recovery and see if there are any errors displayed?

Can you use a file manager and go to /magisk/GPEDialer_HTC10/system/priv-app and take a screen shot. Sounds like a couple of folders aren't getting replaced properly.

This is the only problem i have besides from htc dialer when calling or receiving a call

Anyone that installed version 2.2.2, please update to 2.2.3 through Magisk Manager. It should solve some issues people were having.
