For those that continue not to understand how adaptive brightness on recent Android versions works: it learns from you and what you adjust brightness to. Too bright when it's dark? Keep adaptive brightness enabled but manually adjust brightness down to where you want it. Same when the screen is too dark. This feature uses machine learning to adjust brightness to your preferences.

From my experiences on Android 9 this Magisk module screws up that learning and prevents brightness reduction in many cases. My results are significantly better since I stopped using this module and porting it to 10 is probably not worth anyone's time.

I read that so many times... But no. It is just not true. Official proof of this feature ? There's none, because it simply does not exist.
Auto brightness is as simple as table of key-value pairs.
Try it: reset your phone and dedicate 1 hour of your time trying to teach it to be at half the brightness when you're in the dark. Good Luck ;)

The fact is that Oneplus has stop caring about tweaker ans enthousiasts community, it focuses on the mass market since the OP5.

No. Auto brigthness doesnt equal adaptive brighness. Oneplus androud 9 and 10 use adaptive brightness.

Still not.

Please, show me the proof that OxygenOS 9 or 10 use Adaptative Brightness. Everyone keep talking about that but it's a dream. The OxygenOS phones have auto brightness, which tracks ambient brightness and adjusts screen's brightness accordingly. They also have some "short manual memory" which remembers the last manual correction you made over the automatically set value, but it lasts only until your screen turns off and the ambient brightness changes. It does not really learn anything about what are your preferences.

After months of manually correcting the auto brightness, it keeps auto setting the brightness too low for me in low light, and I keep correcting it manually...

Oneplus implement adaptive technology from google. Works for me. I teached my preference, and remember this settingsmore than one month.

In oreo build the low brightness setting is too good, but after that it sucks. Wanted to know is there any module update for stock A11 now. Minimum brightness is too low, specially in outdoor, it makes the screen not visible.

PLEASE READ BEFORE DOWNLOADING: I started this mod and keep it update to all OOS version stable and beta because I personally need it given that OnePlus doesn't give a c*** about user feedback.
I opened an official case with OnePlus Support in May ( 1 week after OP6 was released) regarding this issue, fast forward 3 month later, the issue is still there.
I even opened a thread on OnePlus forums regarding this: https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/oneplus6-oxygen-os-issues.880094/ . Please post your experience regarding this there, maybe with oneplus strength is in numbers!

So as much as i am excited about my new OnePlus6 (midnight black 8GB RAM/128GB Storage) I found the adaptive brightness setting the display backlight too low in indoor environment. Sure I could have used one of the apps to tune autobrightness from Play Store but why waste cpu time on another service when i can just tune the system's one to my needs.

    Download magisk module:

    Stable
    For OxygenOS 9.0.2

    For OxygenOS 9.0.3

    For OxygenOS 9.0.4

    For OxygenOS 9.0.5

    Open Beta

For Oxygen OS Open Beta 10

For Oxygen OS Open Beta 11

For Oxygen OS Open Beta 12

PSA: it replaces /system/framework/framework-res.apk so any modifications you made there will be gone. If you use other modules that replace the file dragons ahead!
