Not sure if you know or not but Timur is now making a MM version of his kernel which he states will be released 4/4/16. Your mod will be needed greatly especially if you plan on upgrading also.

Also waiting to upgrade to v4...still debating on the nexus 9 if timur supports it if not i will upgrade my n7

I've upgraded to Marshmallow with Timur's kernel and it would be awesome if it could be modded in the same way. You had said in an older thread you would try if someone uploaded the SystemUI.apk from 6.0.1 but you would be unable to test it so I'm willing to if you can modify it. Thank you so much!!

Updated the mod for marshmallow, already tested it on my tablet so you should be good to go.

I used MOB30D since Timur will soon be releasing a kernel compatible with that version, and it is the latest version. However, usually the systemUIs are the same across the security updates, so it technically should work (at least that was the case on lollipop). I have not tested it on anything other than MOB30D though, so I can't say for certain.

If I reflash the ROM, should this overwrite your mod and repair it?

Nexus 7 2013, pureROM and kernel EX. Gravity box installed. I don't remember the build (lol).

Reflashing the rom should correct the issue ....


Make sure you using the mm version if your using marshmallow...

Yes, reflashed the ROM and solved the problem.
Retried to install the mod (MM version) on build MHC19Q, same result, don't work, System UI force close and the REVERT script didn't revert, reinstalled the rom.

Sorry I forgot to mention, this is based on the factory image so it will only work on stock roms.

Only suggestion I have is to flash the mod first and then flash the kernel.

you don't need root but do need a custom recovery, just flash the zip

Just download the mod and look it through ....

You should be able to find the modifications he made ....

If you cant find them ...i suggest doing alot of research

fantastic, as a grouper owner, this is perfect for car install. how about taking it further and making and xposed module out of this?
Edit: However, personally i just like flash mod and done with it clean install rather than xposed installation.
