Hmmm... Interesting. Interesting indeed. I lost ALL my mods in the process, but... It's worth it, I guess?

So far so good. I can confirm that it works flawlessly even on custom launcher (Apex Launcher Pro).

Thanks for the mod, But can it stay transparent while in-app? D:

Can it be that the navigation bar would change color to match that of the app you're running currently? is it attainable? please fill me in

I dont know, why my navigation and status bar are original black and not transparent? I have only Moto buttons. System is clear instalation from Bigxie (clear JRO03C only deodexed). :(

    Updated :)

For stock rom version is updated to v1.1 : Add tablet(and phablet) UI support and minor fixes.
and I added CM10 nightly 2012-09-14+ and Paranoid Android v2.12 versions too.

CM10 and Paranoid Android versions are transparent navbar and statusbar only. (doesn't include modified launcher's dock)

and sorry JRO03O users. I don't have much knowledge about smali so if source code is not available yet, I can't be much help...:(

Hi evilisto. I tried copying your changes to the files if the rom I'm using via smali since the source has not been released yet (JRO03O). I got everything working except the wallpaper doesn't go to the bottom of the screen. It ends about half way down through the nav bar and is just black after that. Do you have any ideas which file is controlling that? Thanks.

I'm really sorry... previous patch didn't include that part

    See below changes :

    Code:
    --- ./a/packages/apps/Launcher2/src/com/android/launcher2/Workspace.java	2012-09-11 18:02:58.883623596 +0900

             boolean mOverrideHorizontalCatchupConstant;

If you apply this, you can remove that bottom wallpaper offset.

As I said in my previous post, I believe the reason we get a black background when viewing an app is not caused by the coding of the nav bar, but because the app casts a black background behind the nav bar. You'd have to edit every single app to tell it to cast a different color background behind the nav bar.
But again, this is only my perspective. The nav bar might operate differently in reality. OP would know better.

Sorry but I don't know exactly too :D But I don't think each apps have blank or black background for navbar..
These links will help you understand about that :

Subtract the navigation bar from DisplayMetrics.
Add new feature to let apps layout over status bar / system bar.
Add system insets to windows. and Implement new window cropping.

Can you make flashable nav bar only ? :fingers-crossed:

OK I added navbar and status bar only version for JRO03C stock rom.
and CM10 and PA versions basically don't include modified launcher :)

OK quick question , what will the PA veriosn do ? Simply add the transparency ? I Want to retain the theme I am using

Yes it add transparency to navbar and statusbar.. but zip file still include launcher(Trebuchet.apk) because it requires some fixes to remove wallpaper offset.
