  • Update 14.03.2013: Initial Post
  • Update 14.03.2013: Fixed a bug for all zips and reuploaded them
  • Update 14.03.2013: Added ODEX zips
  • Update 20.07.2013: Added leaked 4.3 zips for double circle / Off Center
  • Update 26.07.2013: Added official 4.3 zips + removed leaked 4.3 zips (dont use these official 4.3 mod zips with the old leaked 4.3 release)
  • Update 15.11.2013: I will not continue the mod for 4.4+. I just found the xposed framework, which makes it really easy to mod the battery icon and the whole statusbar by yourself on odex and deodex roms.

Here is my 1% Battery Mod for the Nexus 4.

The icons are based on the icon packs here, but i made them slightly bigger.

See instructions below :)

Instructions

Install:
  • Make a nandroid backup
  • Flash the zip with CWM or whatever you prefer
  • Profit :)

Uninstall:
  • Make a nandroid backup
  • Flash the proper "Revert to Stock SystemUI" zip with CWM or whatever you prefer
  • Profit :)

You can easily use your own favorite battery images by replacing the battery images in systemUI.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi inside of the zip. Make your own images or use one of these packages. See the little tutorial here.

I think I found a solution for that problem. Wait a minute, I will reupload the zips.

Edit:
Ok I uploaded the fixed zips. Try if it fixes the problem.
Btw. what do you mean with PA3+?

I thought something like that. I guess a mod for the stock rom wont work with a custom rom like paranoid android, will it?

Ok :)

Nevertheless my fixed upload fixed a bug that prevented stock users from using the mod. Should work now for them.

@kickthefreak

NP :)

By the way: I already reuploaded the zips without the systemUI.odex, so the deletion of it is no longer necessary. The zips should work right out of the box ;)

Re: [MOD][NEXUS 4][4.2.2][DEODEX][STOCK ROM] 1% Battery Mod

Any way you could put one together, for stock odex'd, with the android?

Yap, as stated in the first post I can do it, but I need a unmodded stock odex systemUI.apk and res-framework.apk first. So if you could upload yours, I can help.

Here you go. If it works for you, I will add it to the first post and add the other variants. So please give me some feedback :)

Edit: Removed the attached file and added it to the first post.

Hmm twrp shouldnt matter I think.

Which zip did you try to flash? wkkenneth flashed "NEXUS 4 - battery mod - 4.2.2 ODEX - Off Center.zip" and it worked. Give that zip a try, maybe I messed something up with the other versions of the odexed zips.

    Hey caliga4221

    The difference between odex and deodex is explained here.

    If you have just rooted your nexus 4 and didnt replace the rom you have an odexed rom and can use the 4.2.2 ODEX zips.

    @QUIETLYloud

    Try out the Big Android I have attached. Since the icons were made for the S2 it should look a little smaller than on the screenshot in the other thread.

    @lowrider262

    Yap, there is a little chance. See the attachment ;)

    @all: Once you have a modded systemUI.apk in a flashable zip it is really easy to change the icons by yourself:

    - open the zip with 7zip
    - go to: system/app and doubleclick on SystemUI.apk
    - inside the apk go to res/drawable-xhdpi
    - drag & drop the new icons from a icon package to the folder and click "yes" at the copy dialog
    - close 7zip and click "ok" to update the apk inside the zip
    - done
    2
    I will update it, as soon as I get the systemui and framework-res apks.

    @spicediablo

    Yap, you should flash odex.

    @cswithxda

    Which zip did you flash? It should work fine with the 100% state. I use the same battery mod for my Galaxy Nexus and dont have that issue. But maybe a Nexus4 user can confirm that.
