@OptimalKiller
Can the XXUAMEA version be used on Omega 5.0 or are you going to release an XXUBMEA version of this great mod?
Thanks :good:
Hi kantjer,

The mod has been released and fully tested on Omega Rom 5

download either one of these. for [XXUBMEA] Omega build

XXUAMEA-ODEX+DEODEX-NFC-Lockscreen.zip
XXUAMEA-ODEX+DEODEX-NFC-Screenoff.zip
XXUAMEA-ODEX+DEODEX-NFC-Stock.zip)

I made a typo error the filename it should be called XXUBMEA

I have updated the OP with the correct names. :)

But all fully tested

Ok can you try this version for me fist

Main OP updated the CWM script, to remove the odex files if using an odex rom

if that fails try the manual method.

COPY & PASTE PROCEDURE from @fmark post
1. Back up /system/app/NfcNci.apk and NfcNci.odex files.
2. Extract NfcNci.apk from XXUAME2-ODEX+DEODEX-NFC-Lockscreen.zip
3. Copy extracted NfcNci.apk to /system/app/
4. delete NfcNci.odex from the /system/app if it exists
5. Change NfcNci.apk permissions to 644 change owner to root and root if using root explorer
6. Reboot into Recover and clear Cache and Dalvik cache
7. Reboot the phone

Let me know which method worked for you if it does.
This did the trick for me! First I followed fmark's instructions, but they did not include removing the odex file, so it didn't work for me. After several tries with no success I read through your instructions and that worked. As I don't have a custom recovery, I couldn't clear the dalvik cache from there, so I got an app from play store that could do it for me, and now it works. Now I just need to figure out something to turn on the screen / unlock it when I scan the tag. Should be possible with Tasker I suppose.

I requested it so of course I will beta test it:)

I will start thinking about a few Tasker task to make full use of it.

hi there, been using this mod since XXUAME2, can you make one for the new XXUBMF2 build?
Hi kiwimalayalee

I have looked at the BMF2 and there is no difference or any code enhancements. Therefore I will not be creating a BMF2 Build. I recommend you install the XXUBMEA as its exactly the same in terms of code etc etc.

If there was any code enhancements rest assured I will make the mod for it.

My NFC Payment keeps force closing after applying XXUBMEA ScreenOff mod. Anyone else with the same problem?
I wish I could help but I cant as we dont have NFC payment in the UK yet. However have you tried wiping your cache and dalvik cache. You can do this by using CWM recovery

We don't have NFC Payment neither. But after applying the mod, sometimes I get message stating that the NFC Payment force closed. And I can't access the NFC Payment setting, force closes. Could you try it?

Yep I also get that too. I also got that error on the stock rom aswell. Without the modded nfc applied so I can definitely say it has nothing to do with the modded nfc.

Have you flashed back the stock nfc? To see if the error goes away

The app that crashes with the NFC payment error message is com.samsung.android.walletmanager with a SecurityException: Client module is tampered.

This happens when it tries to start receiver com.samsung.android.walletmanager.receiver.NfcStateChangedReceiver.

Will test if flashing to the stock NFC helps.

Hi quack

Can you also test if you rename secwallet.apk to secwallet.org reboot phone. The error will go.

Please report back your findings.
