Its much more than just "adding bass".. there's a ton of players with eq to do that and another ton on EQ apps to do that too. This uses some neat code to provide clean EQing which in turn makes things sound cleaner and better. What does this do exactly? Is it just a DSP that adds more bass or something(read: Not technically improving anything), or does it somehow make better use of the audio hardware/software in Android?
Yes, works fine with PowerAmp. PowerAmp uses native code but mostly for lossless and other codecs that are not explicitly supported by Android. Also, it does not bypass the system entirely.
I guess. No trademark or copyrighted app has been used. Its just modified code.
You need good headphones that have enough range. On regular $30 cans, it will sound the same no matter what..
The sound is much cleaner, tighter and deeper bass, clean highs and crisp mids. The sound is definitely a LOT better!
Yes it does.
No, the differences are quite obvious, provided you have capable headphones which can show the result. The difference is quite clear on the few headphones I tested - Sennheiser HD380, ATH M-50, Beyerdynamics DT 990 Pro (even without my Fiio in between).
P.S - For everyone asking "Will this work on my this with that player on XYZ ROM":
----> It will work as long as you're on a GB ROM. Try it and post if you come across any issues. Don't ask dumb questions and please read the OP twice if you can't get it the first time.
So if we were to manually copy the files from the following 3 folders in the zip where would they get copied to in the system files?I'm an htc developer and i want to say some things...the first is that these files are in wrong directorythe headphones bin are located in system/etc and mounted in /etc/ and the lib's right location are in system/lib/soundfx/
Then i want to say that this is only a software equalizationthe real beats audio is an audio driver located in kernel and radicated in the system and hardware
good work friends!
I have sennheiser cx300ii
Sent from my GT-I9003 using XDA App
his source files? What are your source files like? Also, some people can't really tell clean audio from loud audio.. no offence meant btw.
I think the system/lib files from the zip should go here: system/lib/soundfx? Is this correct? For those who have problems with CWM (Status 0) and aborted!
1. Extract the flash.zip with 7zip
2. Place the files inside
/system/bin
/system/etc
/system/lib
manually with any Root Explorer App to the respective /system folders
The three folders are
/system/bin
/system/etc
/system/lib
Hope I helped ya'all![]()
