Rom Privacy Script (RPS)​

If you care about your privacy as I do, it is probably for you. Read below for details.​

Rom Privacy Script is a simple procedure to allow you to have full control over your privacy.​

It uses LBE Security Master with custom settings. You don’t have to set permissions manually every time you super wipe your device.​

Use procedure below to set permissions. This is initial release that set LBE in training mode. Only apps trying to steal IMEI number are blocked by default.

GUIDE:

I recommend to do this procedure straight after ROM flashing.

DO NOT FLASH IT!!!
1. Unpack downloaded content
2. Connect your device to USB
3. Run script – Start here and follow instructions on the screen
4. Your device reboot at the end of procedure
5. Run LBE and set up autostart

I strongly recommend to block all LBE network traffic by DroidWall.

and i dont see why i should block my IMEI since im under preyproject.. in case i lose my phone..

It is in training mode -it asks you when any application is trying to obtain your location, call logs, sms, IMEI etc.

Going to try this when I get home...not sure if I understand directions tho....I download file on comp unpack plug in phone to USB and run the script on he comp follow directions on screen?

It installs as a normal apk with custom settings.

You didn't run LBE on your device manually after installation. That's why settings didn't copy.

Yes of course, but they have white listed some android components, so you will not able to have full control, and you have to set permissions manually.

Sorry just seen permition denied, did you mount system as writable?

Interesting, after a full wipe i always restore LBE and data with titanium backup so i have my settings back..

Only extra thing this script does is block IME automaticlly ?

I would love to see this to be integrated in CM 7.2.

Or in kyrillios rom etc.

We need that protection - I will have it anyway, but what about all that thousands of users that don't know much or nothing about it and get spyed on by many eyes - especially google is the biggest spy and some apps.

We need more people that are concearned about security.
