[MOD][ROOT] Enable call recording on Google Phone

Call recording on Google Phone is only enabled for selective devices in Few Countries and unluckily it wasnt available for POCO F1 but finally after fidelling for so long I was able to enable call recording on my Poco F1 running AEX 11.
Prequisites:
1. Device must be rooted with Magisk
2. Any root browser and the knowledge to use it.

Steps to enable Call Recording:
1. Uninstall all updates to Google Phone from Play Store.
2. Now using the root browser copy dialer_phenotype_flags.xml and replace it inside root/data/data/com.google.android.dialer/shared_prefs and set permission to rw-rw. If the file doesnt exist then simply paste it.
2. Flash the Magisk Module and reboot the device.
3. Now go to playstore & update the dialer.
4. Clear data of Dialer, force-close it & open it. Now you should be able to see call recording option in Dialer settings.
5. To disable the annoying call recording message flash this Addon.zip. P.s. I didnt made this zip, got in telegram channel Elonsmod so thanks to @elon_cyborg.

Note: It might not work for you or break safetynet, I'm not responsible for it.

Just tried on OnePlus 8t Beta 5. after flashing magisk addon screen brightness stopped working. So had to delete. Nevertheles now call recording option is out totally.

For me the call is recorded just fine and there is no system error during call. But when I play the recording there is no sound in it. I am on pixel experience plus android 10. Any help would be appreciated.

Call recording works for me in my OnePlus 7Pro, just Addon.zip can't be flashed in magisk, shows that isn't a magisk module and I have no TWRP, I'll try tonight.


I just skipped step 4 to avoid flags.xml file to being deleted

It made my phone bootloop, I had to uninstall it using MM in twrp to get it back working

It works perfectly fine on my Redmi K20 Pro with ArrowOS. Thank you for the mod.
Only one nitpicking issue i would say is while phone restarts popup camera also opens by default. It automatically closes when phone is unlocked as well. I thought it was because i enabled face unlock. Removed face unlock and tried still its opening popup camera which was not there earlier. Apart from this small issue it works perfectly for me now.

Did you try extracting default Xiaomi dialer app from stock Indonesia MIUI ROM? That one has native call recording option as well. Good luck!
