Just flash stock 10p Boot. Then after update flash patched 10sCould anyone tell me if I'm able to update to the v10s OTA that appeared for me, on a rooted v10p with Magisk (and prefereably without losing any data)? If I simply try to update on normal gui, it gives me an error. I'm using Magisck stable v18.1, does beta v19.0 makes any difference? Thanks!
Nevermind, I just wasn't correctly entering download mode.Help guys! I uninstalled Magisk and now the phone is booting to the "dead android robot" with red warning sign and "no command".... it stays this way for around 3 minutes and then boots again. I'm pretty sure it's the lack of proper boot.img, but I cannot fastboot it, as my pc doesn't recognize anything on usb (I reinstalled drivers jus in case, but no luck).... I cannot shutdown it either, and so far, the only thing that I could do is to enter the factory reset, which also didn't help. Any ideas?
Stay with stick 10q and update with LG BridgeOK, I have rooted 10q. When I flash stock 10q boot image, my phone will not update to 10s via OTA. I always get "Software update failed. Problem with installation. Try install again.", as if the phone was rooted. It always worked with earlier versions. I can flash back patched 10q to get the root back, but I would like to update to 10s. Any thoughts on this problem?
It keeps data but it will remove rootDoes software update with LG bridge wipe the phone or does it keep all the data and settings as with OTA update?

The boot image on this thread is only for 10b-10f firmware however I upload patched bootimages for newer versions on my gdriveI did
fastboot flash boot_a patched_boot_10b.img
and then
fastboot flash boot_b patched_boot_10b.img
restarted, now I'm waiting, how long does it usually take to load up?
EDIT:
So I must have done something wrong when following the steps, maybe my fault. Stayed on the boot screen forever.
Anyway LGUP was not working without going into download mode ()
I found up to date firmware using my IMEI number (if you don't know your model version), (https://lg-firmwares.com, https://lg-firmware-rom.com/#download,
If you can't get it to work, using the links provided, I followed the steps here and managed to get things working again.

Hope this helps someone who got stuck like me. I was using 10q so maybe that's why this guide didn't work.
I was assuming that as well. The boot image on this thread is only for 10b-10f firmware however I upload patched bootimages for newer versions on my gdrive

Pretty self-explanatoryI was assuming that as well.
I updated after getting everything up, now my software version says v10s-EUR-XX
If I use your link (boot_v10s.img), https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ODwq6mJ9zo4j4bKhc78uMyzleA05uJku Is this the right boot image to use? What does the boot_10s-magisk.img do?
If you do not mind, can you tell me what my steps/commands to do? I'm traveling in a few days so can't risk missing a step.
Thanks for sharing.
