I was poking around the Android P AMA on Reddit and somebody asked why RRO themeing was cut out (screenshot) anyway I'm assuming developer on Android P said it was a security hole and could be used to run any resource during runtime. could RRO be used to unlock the bootloader for the US carriers of this phone or did I just read this completely wrong (disclaimer I work graveyard shift and have been awake for almost 24 hours if I misinterpreted I apologise)

The security hole was found in android 7 and earlier, they fixed in O but one user believed it was fixed in P, so it is a fixed security hole.

I cannot get any device to connect to my rooted G7. I suspect that root caused this.

Should I try a static IP? If so, in what range?

Heres mine on a US LM-G710ULM.

Waiting for LG to update their website for unlocking.

Contact your manufacturer for details" and i have other two problem: 1)If I make a call the phone hangs on the dialer 2)the phone does not play any kind of sounds (calls, youtube, etc)

Hi guys, i managed to root, thank u so much, but i have too problems now that maybe are related to the root or another thing, i don't know. 1. The slow motion mode in camera don't work 2. The audio files of WhatsApp don't work, send and received files, it says me that i have a problem with the mic and i must try in another time. I tried to erase data and Uninstall the app then re install but i had the same problem. What can i do? Thanks in advance.

Edit: guys no audio here from anything, music, youtube, ringtone, nothing. Whats can happened? And no video recording in all modes.

T-Mobile LG G7 getprop also im on update 10g if it means anything

This patched boot image doesn't work for me also. Can't make calls, no sound, 10 minutes boot time, etc.
I need to flash stock KDZ to recover my phone, but then there's no sign of root anymore.

Did anyone try to use LG G6's dual speakers module on G7? It would be awesome to have dual speakers with one as a boombox

Forgot I made that ? let me know if it works so I could make a thread.

try to open developer settings , is there a option to allow unlock bootloader ?

T-Mobile LG G7 update 10g enable oem unlock is there , and I have it turned on, unless there is a different bootloader unlock setting
