With the tremendous help from you guys, I have My v10f rooted now. The only bug I've notices is that hot spot doesn't work. Is there anything I can try?

It works for me with the rooted v10f
Can be blocked by the provider?

If so, considering that I don't see any relation between the hot spot function and root, there must be something else in your device that is interfering .
Same thing occurred om v10b. When I rooted, hotspot didn't work.

I live in Sweden, if that matters ..

Hello,

I followed instructions on how to root my lg g7 (lmg710em) . Root worked but now I get a message when starting the phone: "There's an internal problem with your device. Contact your manufacturer for details.". As far as I can see the phone stil works however, I don't have any audio anymore. Not on calls/notifications and also music doesn't play. Anyone else have this issue ? I searched the LG website for a stock rom but couldn't find one. Is there a stock rom I can reflash ?

Thanks in advance!

There is a emergency flashing function in LG Bridge called "update error recovery" on the "software update" page, afaik it will restore your device. But I guess you will lose all files/settings, do a backup before you use it. It will download a complete rom image 3-4GB in size to your PC and then flash it.

I suggest that you start from a factory reset phone before rooting.
Anyway here you can find all the stock firmware available (to flash with lgup):

Tried the lg bridge but got an error about network being unavailable. Odicamillo's solution with lgup worked, sound is working again after flashing stock rom! Thanks for the quick response!

I flashed the boot image again after reflashing stock image 710f. This time there was a boot loop and got lucky it booted after cycling the power about 30 times. Do I need stock image 710b to root with this boot image ? Im going to factory reset it 10times and try again.

Be careful to use the right patched version of boot.img.
In the first post the patched boot.img is valid ONLY for the v10b firmware version. If you flash the v10f or v10d (latest versions) you need to use the corresponding boot.img patched version that you find in this thread (look at my previous posts). ;)

It worked with the 10f boot Img. :good: Unfortunately I'm running into a different issue now where my wifi does not work any more. Somehow the mac addr of the adapter changed to 00:00:00:00:00:00 - not a big deal for me I as long as the audio 4/g work

Thanks again!
