Yes, definitely notice a difference. I'll post the link I acquired it from in a minute. Like everything else, people have different opinions about Dolby Atmos, I like it.

Dio you have v4a still installed with this? Thinking about trying it but wasn't to make sure no issues.

Also did you just flash the one zip and not that deep buffer one?

Sent from my non-Mega loved v10 H901.

After a nasty bout with the flu I'm back in the saddle. I've sorta been surprised by the the audio paths with the v10. The DAC has definitely caused changes that I wasn't expecting. I removed the rom I built and have gone back to stock rooted to try to build the surround sound mods. The speaker and Bluetooth volume boosts work but the goal is to use the DAC paths to help clear up the quality through speaker and Bluetooth. Getting weird things happening though with the audio codecs. Anyways.....just wanted to let you know I am back at it.

Does this audio boost affect auxiliary cables as well? I noticed a drastic difference in volume using headphones vs an aux cable in my wifes car, where I had to max out the stereo volume and the volume on my phone just to be able to hear the music--and it still wasn't very loud.

Never installed V4A before. I have Xposed currently. I installed V4A's app, but when requesting driver install stated I needed Busybox - is this correct? The install instructions on post 22 weren't entirely clear about what exactly I am supposed to do, if this is a mod that needs a command typed upon every reboot (looks like it), etc.

I only want V4A to mod the EQ to boost treble a bit on my IEMs. BT and headphone audio sound great, but I definitely prefer a slight treble boost for my Westone W30 IEMs. Is V4A the only way to accomplish this with the V10?

Yes, you need busy box. Install V4A, install the drivers, reboot, and do the script. I have the script executed on boot, so it always works. You can use an app for that, such as rom toolbox.

You can add treble with the eq in the stock player (which I'm not crazy about), or use a different player. I've never used one, but there should be eq apps in playstore.

I use Google Play All Access only for music. I feel like I might need V4A to actually have a working EQ. I guess I can try the app store and see what I find.

I'm backing off the audio stuff for a bit because I'm not getting things to work the way they logically should. I'll come back to it but in my travels through the system I've found some things I'd like to play with, mainly the second screen. I was able to change the background and have static weather with screen on but then I got a bunch of FCs so I'd like to look further into that.

@mth7386—I really hope you are able to make progress with the second screen. Let me know if you need a tester for anything.

For sure. You'll be the first to know. It's funny....LG left everything intact from other builds like G3, G4, etc. All of the notification LED settings are accessible, all the lock screen widget stuff, all those things. I did route the LED notification settings to the second screen and I was able to light up red pixels. So there is hope that the second screen can also act as a traditional LED notification.

That's awesome news. Led notifications would be great, I definitely miss those.

FWIW,those who favor B/T earbuds vs wired connection,I've got the Dolby Atmos port installed & with the SkullCandy Smokin' Buds2 Wireless, the sound is aweome: Loud/Rich/Clean & Undistorted.
At $55,I wasn't expecting much, but,I'm pleasantly surprised, enough so to give my JayBird BlueBuds X to a friend of mine....................
Not sure how much of the goods are due to LG/DOLBY,but,there is a huge differnce in fit/sound vs Jaybirds.....
