Do you have decent range with them? I tried the Jay birds or blue birds, whatever they are called, was at the gym, wearing them. Phone on the elliptical machine, and it was too far away. Absolutely horrible. That was with my Note 3 IIRC. Made them fairly useless.

I'm deep into ManCave mode for the evening, but,I'll give 'em a good test @ work tomorrow.
My watches stay connected quite a distance (40ft or thereabouts,in a B/T adverse environment, lot of concrete & machinery),I'll jump back on this thread around noon Eastern time w/results.
Try 'em outside as well, for comparison.

Just tried 'em out both in a B/T unfriendly environment & oudoors straight-line:
The Skullcandy Smokin' Buds2 Wireless hold a consistent strong connection up to about 30 ft before any further distance results in erratic connectivity.
I'm sold w/these & the V10 w/DOLBY ATMOS,no need for further modding,but,of course any future development I'll give a go.
I honestly didn't think anything would top the Bluebuds X,but,at the price & all the positive reviews,it was worth a try & glad I didn't pass these (SkullCandy Smokin' Buds2 Wireless) up............

Any way possible to boost the phone speaker volume a bit? I looked around in the mixer path xml, but couldn't find anything definitive to adjust.

Does anyone have a backup of the audio_policy.conf and audio_effects.conf?

I flashed this mod (http://www.ez-pg.com/guide-poweramp-viper4android-on-lollipop.html)to make Viper work with Poweramp, but now I seem to have lost the MusicFX funtion in the ROM after uninstalled the mod. Weird enough, I reflashed the ROM, and I still have the same issue (must have been baked into the LG backup file I created).

thanks.

Is there any way within this method to change how the phone views auxiliary cables? Right now, my phone gives out piss poor volume to my wifes Kia headunit through aux, but my headphones sound great. If I could somehow make it think it's plugged into headphones I feel it would be much better. Not familiar enough with this sort of thing to do it on my own by digging through files, but I can make adjustments with a guide easily enough =D

Can someone test this? Check headphones, in-call, and BT headphones. Extract the zip and paste it into /system/etc but rename the current one. Just in case. I'm using it, I think it's working but need confirmation LOL.

Sorry to double post, but that worked great! Gets a bit distorted if I turn it up too high on my phone, but still far better than before.

I tried messing with the HiFi DAC volume and it didn't work well. Distorts really bad. I still need the phone speaker louder but haven't figured that out yet.

Been digging around too, but nothing good yet... Lol. Have figured out that if you mess with too much, anything that makes sound will push phone into endless fc's...

Did you notice that the speaker (speakerphone) distorts on stock mixer paths? I hear a "fuzz" on it, especially on voice in both calls and any other audio (YouTube, etc.) that really muffles the sound. I noticed that if the audio material being played is quiet, there is no "fuzz" - it only happens when the audio material is loud (the audio itself, I'm not talking about turning up the volume control). Sounds like there's some improper gain staging (some mixer path is turned up too high) happening somewhere that's causing this distortion on the speaker. Would be worth looking into to improve the clarity of the speaker.
