Read the OP. Step 1 and 2 and 3 tells you EXACTLY what to do to access the bootloader and flash the zip.

Yes, I read the instructions. I'm still a n00b at this stuff. Where I'm getting tripped up is "putting the .zip in the root of the external sd card". I've looked and can't find it.

That means copy the zip file to your sd card not in any folder, it has to be on the "root" of the card.

Its pretty self explanatory. Copy the zip file to the root of your sd card (not in a folder), reboot into your bootloader and the phone pretty much takes it from there.....

Wait, is that different than steps 1,2,3 in the OP? Did I miss something?

Might want to add a comment to the OP to remove or rename the ZIP after you're done so the bootloader doesn't see it next time it loads.

Oh good idea. I hate when I forget to do that, especially when it's the 500+MB RUU zips.. those take ~20 minutes to load haha.

yes i did that and it did work for me put it in the sdcard 2 instead of just sd card sorry for typo

Let's stop quoting that huge image lol. It takes a while to load 8 of them on slower internet connections.

Haha. That's very frustrating. That's when it's quicker to hold the power button down for 10 seconds

Nope, it does not touch the splash screen image. Yours will remain intact

You gotta call sprint and they'll ask you if you applied an update or something, just say yes and they will apply a "permanent fix". Haha, trust me.
