This works because we can now write to the hboot partition thanks to S-OFF. The way I patched this is one of the 2 ways it could have been done. I still haven't found the flag that the bootloader sets that makes the text pop up, so I changed the hexes of the actual string values to 0x00s.

Yup. That's one way to do it. I suppose so long as nothing else is affected it makes no difference how it's done.

Now we just need to figure out a way to make it appear fully stock in case it needs to go in for repairs.

Well that's easy too, just editing some more values in the image... BUT. That can get confusing really quick for people, so I'm not going to post it yet, if ever. Maybe I'll post a how to, but no download. I'm coming out with something later today hopefully that has just a little something to do with what we're talking about though ;)

so what do you see to indicate that is not fully stock,
that was caused by flashing this ?

no but in order to run this you have to be on that bootloader. read the op. states you must be s-off last time i checked that is the one and only way to gain s-off! please enlighten me if i am.
