This works because we can now write to the hboot partition thanks to S-OFF. The way I patched this is one of the 2 ways it could have been done. I still haven't found the flag that the bootloader sets that makes the text pop up, so I changed the hexes of the actual string values to 0x00s.@regaw_leinad, so this basically works because of the unsigned hboot now present?
Btw, slick method you used to remove the message![]()
i got the same isshh last nite after i did that s-off.. i just stayed on the phone after it says error 16 switch and it connects u to sprint.. all they had me do was turn my phone off and when i turned it back on it was good to go again.. took less then 5 minsever since i did this im getting error 16 when i try to make calls smh
Yup. That's one way to do it. I suppose so long as nothing else is affected it makes no difference how it's done. This works because we can now write to the hboot partition thanks to S-OFF. Well that's easy too, just editing some more values in the image... BUT. That can get confusing really quick for people, so I'm not going to post it yet, if ever. Maybe I'll post a how to, but no download. I'm coming out with something later today hopefully that has just a little something to do with what we're talking about thoughYup. That's one way to do it. Now we just need to figure out a way to make it appear fully stock in case it needs to go in for repairs.
Ummm, not sure.. .what method did you use to gain s-off?Mine has the s-off but i used a different method will this still work , even when i did not use panda's?![]()
I used the automatic rooting method from http://TheDroidDemos.com:cool:rudyp9, what method did you use to achieve s-off?
Ah, that's not S-OFF, that's my RegawMOD Rooter. You'll need to run the S-OFF utility before this.I used the automatic rooting method from http://TheDroidDemos.com:cool:
