type su
And a2sd
And yes. Yes. And the phone will reboot itself .
Now U have a working a2sd

# 2 only works if your rom already has a2sd script incorporated inside of it, such as MIUI (and maybe some ICS rom). Very inaccurate advice... BTW: most pre-included scripts are sub-par which is why we have better scripts such as the one featured in this thread.

Why would you want to do this? Swap on SD is a terrible idea and a great way to wear down your card prematurely, possibly even more so than Data2SD.

I would like to enable swap because after running some apps require lots of memory.when i change to another app, the app need to load again and give me a black screen.

I have a difference when I using DT A2SD with/without swap
so I want to find some way to enable it in A2SDX to see whether swap make some change

I tried this on HD2 - Froyo ROM (DHD based), I can provide link if you want.
I formatted all, installed a ROM (which I was using up till now), installed the zip without re-booting, but booting will freeze forever....
Hope ypu can fix it

didn'T work for me. format 4ext with amaon ra and flash it after a clean rom install. then reboot twice. when i go to apps there are still 192 mb free!?

i'm on newest cm7 nightly

the script does it for you. No need other application. The apps stay on internal but the script mounts and uses the ext4 for the internal.

How can i restore my device into original status?

I've used this mod and it's realy great in my galaxy ace:laugh: (using ICS beta 9 ROM by maclaw) but , if i want to restore my android without restore a backup?
I don't think do it if isn't necessary but i note than the phone doesn't starts if you remove the SD card.

Hi

This script sounds amazing for my ACE. But I've one question:

As I understood I have to create an EXT partition on my sdcard. The script will use THIS partition. Will it work if I've two partitions on my sdcard?

Example for 6GB sdcard:
1st partition: EXT4, 500MB <- for the ama script
2nd partition vfat, 5500MB <- for personal storage

Will the ama script use the corect partition automatically?

How to get it running?
Simple; just flash the zip in recovery. You must have an EXT partition already created on your SD card, obviously. No need to enter any commands in Terminal as it already runs by itself upon boot. I tested and it works with CM7, MIUI, and ICS roms. Been using it for a while with NO problems.
